and what people dont consider, is that hughie has got the best heavyweight in the world to spar with. thats a measuring stick of how good hughie is. i seriously doubt peter would be willing to throw him in there with wilder unless he was doing well against tyson. cause there no rush due to his age.

But the British fighter will pre-empt that strike by giving the belt back before they force his hand. Express Sport understands the British champion will still be placed as ‘champion in recess’.
That means as soon as he is fight to return to the ring he must be given a shot at the title within a certain timeframe by whoever is in possession of the belt.
