there's an even more important caveat:

ward's hands! kovalev is much faster and hits a heck of a lot harder than froch. can ward keep kovalev off of him if he breaks his left hand?

i think ward's a better boxer and i'm probably going ot put money on him, but this is a razor close fight because of kovalev's size and punching power.

Kovalev seemed to have a general dislike of Ismael Sillahk, I always wondered where this hatred came from? People calling Kovalev a puncher are doing him a disservice, he is a clever boxer as well as he showed in the Sillahk and Hopkins fight. I still favour Ward who is simply more gifted as a boxer

Just look how he squares himself up....
The way he drops his hands to his waist after he punches.

The way he stands around after he fires like he's posing for the cover of overrated boxer ****zine.
You say exactly the same things about GGG. It's like you read or heard it somewhere and thought .. mmm .. sounds good .. I'll remember that and say it about every boxer I don't like.

Sounds like NE's having some doubt on his 'goldenboy.' I've followed and analyzed both fighters careers, and even though I'll be rooting for Kovalev, my gut is telling Ward will be victorious. A lot of people have discounted Ward's punching power and there's a perception that he won't be able to deter Kov's prolific offense and power punching. I'm calling b.s. on that. Ward is a solid, but not devastating, puncher and his speed, accuracy and crispness on his punches certainly mitigate any power deficiency.

That said, I think Ward outboxes and out-maneuvers Kovalev in methodical fashion. I'd like to think that Kovalev has a good chance of winning but Andre has always found a way to win, comfortably. I got Ward winning 7-5.

            Same here..
I was vouching for Kovalev because Ward was inactive & LHW was a step up he hasn't been for long...
As the fight is nearing, I'm starting to think Ward will pull this one off..

No way, Silakh won the first round fairly easily.... Kovalev didn't touch him that round because if he had it would have probably been a first round KO, the first half decent connection seperated him from his senses.

Is kovalev powerful? He couldn't stop bh which makes me question it?
Yes bh has good chin but still if kovalev couldn't Ko bh, just at what age does bh need to be before he's ko able, what weight does bh need to step up? Maybe 8 divisions like pac?

Bhop has a granite chin and Kovalev fought at a measured pace for most of that fight. If he went all out early in the fight he probably would have got a tko,but there was no need to Bhop behaved once he felt the power early on.
