No world champion fighter is a c or d level fighter or a bum. It's pretty easy to deconstruct guys with exaggeration.Don't know what the hate for boxers is about on a boxing site that should be full of fans.I guess Jacobs will be a cancer patient who was crushed by an unknown Russian who had nobody on his record. It's easy to do this with practically anyone's record.Even though middleweight seems to be without a serious competition for GGG at this point ,that'd not really the point at this time.

      Martin Murray; C
I always root for Murray and he's the only opponent I rooted for against Golovkin. But, he's had numerous fights with decent competition and never once came out a winner.

      Willie Monroe Jr; D+
His crowning achievement is beating a guy who had 2 wins in his last 7. And, he didn't even look good doing that. Lost to the only good opponent he ever fought.

      David Lemuiex; C
The very definition of a lumbering fighter. Slow, plodding, predictable. Is large and puts everything behind his punches, but has no actual pop or natural power. Resume is mediocre.

      Dominic Wade; D-
      Makes Alexander Brand look accomplished.

      Kell Brook; C @ MW (B+ @ WW)
One good opponent at Welter. That's it. Now, he's 1-1 against good opposition.

You have to scale it, obviously. If we were ranking based on every active boxer in the world we'd have everyone we're familiar with in the A category. We're talking about relevant opposition. So, you scale it to cover a range of F through A.

Not everyone gets a star and an A for effort.

Pathetic resume, and I don't care who avoided him.

what I'm thinking is I can't come up with a name he could fight at middleweight that I couldn't make sound bad.In fact the same goes for supermiddle. If you've got a defeat I can make you sound c level. But it's the obsession with staying undefeated that's robbing us of the good fights these days don't you think. It's like once you lose ,if I can find a fight that your conqueror had that he struggled in your record is dirt.Back in the day when Duran lost to Lang he didn't suddenly become garbage.

Not to long ago I was reading Lemeiux would KO Canelo and Monroe would be to slick & styles make fights yada yada yada but because GGG beat these dudes they are all B & C fighters. Crazy how things work around NSB.
These guys aren't c level fighter because g string beat them. Absolutely nothing special about anyone on g strings resume before or after g string fought them. The only exception is the welterweight Brook.

You believe that these guys would have a chance vs Canelo? Yeah.................no

Past prime fighter who's best days were well behind him. Should have got the nod against a completely shot Martinez, but didnt.

                Willie Monroe Jr 5/16/2015 B-/C+
A virtual nobody before ggg and his team dug him up. Most recently had a decent win outboxing Rosado (whos shot to ****)

                David Lemuiex 10/17/2015 C+

The 160 Brandon Rios. Human punching bag. Had a couple decent wins (N'dam & Guerrero) But will never beat a top fighter. Knocked out by Rubio.

                Dominic Wade 4/23/2016 C-

                Who?

Guy couldnt beat a court case and was on house arrest

                Kell Brook 9/10/2016 B+ welterweight

Potentialy ggg's best opponent to date. Had to be drug up from 147 cause anybody at 160 with Brooks skillset beats ggg.

                Theres your killer folks!!

I'd rate Brook an A, LeMule a B-, and Murray a B- as well. The rest I agree with.

Given the complete lack of quality opposition, how can you call g string "elite"? Oops forgot who I was talking to.....................sorry

Well, I won't try to change your mind but here's my thoughts...

                      Billy Joe Saunders; B
Despite the avoidance of a Golovkin fight, Billy does have 2 wins over decent comp and no defeats. His inactivity in the last year keeps him from being B+.

                      Chris Eubank Jr; B-
Narrowly lost to BJS, but showed comparable ability. Has been extremely active with 23 fights in 4 years.

                      Saul Alvarez; A-
His sole loss coming to Mayweather when Canelo was still green, Canelo has a solid victory over Cotto 2.0, narrow win over Lara, and has dominated everyone else.

                      Erislandy Lara; A-
Aside from a controversial Canelo loss, has never truly been defeated. Detractors bring up Angulo but foolishly ignore the fact that he was able to get back up and finish the man who dropped him. Finished Trout (who no one looks good against).

I could go on at 154, a division which is really heating up. But, I won't because I think it's wrong for Golovkin fans to be eyeballing smaller competition rather than looking at 168lb opponents.
