We could use more videos like this one that breaks down the technical aspects of what actually goes down in the ring. I feel like lately the whole boxing world (media, fans, networks, etc) are generally way more concerned about everything outside the ring than inside the ring.

One of the biggest question marks going into this fight definitely involves Ward and whether he's still the same fighter from before his inactivity. He's looked good against his opposition in the past year, but that opposition doesn't compare to the Super Six run. We'll see for sure whether Ward is the same guy or not. And he'll need to be that guy to beat Kovalev.

He's totally right about learning that lesson of moving just enough, and it's something Ward was already good at anyway. His style should hold up very well as he ages, so long as his reflexes don't vanish on him.

The questions don't just surround Ward.

How will Kovalev react to the pace Ward will set and getting countered left and right.??

Will he be able to take Ward's shots?

It's not like Kovalev has an iron jaw..

You already know, black people have to be 2 or 3 times better than their counterparts at everything before they are recognized for their greatness.

If you're not up for this fight, you can't call yourself a boxing fan... It will be interesting to see how Ward responds to Kov's power and how Kov responds to Ward's counters (and rough style). Ward is right though. People are harping too much on his inactivity. In a few weeks, he has a chance to shut everyone up about it.

Ward has always moved just enough, I feel. I know he made that comparison to Floyd, but I wonder if his "just enough" can extend as long as Floyd's. That will be easier if Ward continues to move up. We'll see, but first, Nov 19th is all that matters...

... did he fight any "Russian school" fighter during the Super Six?

Actually that's not factual. In society in general the standards are lowered for black people
