Why? what would be the point of accepting Canelo's preliminary offer if the fight isn't going to happen for at least another year anyway?

Pointless, Canelo only wants weak and washed up fighters.

So he won't continually look like a hypocrite. It's starting to look bad! He tells Ward maybe in 2017, but that's OK. Canelo tells him maybe in 2017, that's a duck. He tells Ward to come to 164, that's cool. Canelo tells him come to 155, that's a duck. He says Canelo is "businessman" when he fights Khan @ 155, then he fights Brook @ 160. He says he's not "businessman" and "fighting the best is more important than money" then he's turning down $10 million dollars. He can't get the Jacobs deal done. He can't get the Saunders deal done. Yet everyone is to assume that it's all Jacobs' and Saunders' fault, yet here he is turning down $10 million dollars! Sign the ****ing contract!

If Team Triple Duck is SO confident then why not just accept the 10 million dollars - more than twice Bumlovkin's biggest payday to-date - and KO Alvarez in 8 or 9 rounds?

Don't think this fight is gonna happen now if Golovkin is insulted by twice the money he's ever earned in a fight, he's obviously going to price himself out.

This will be the biggest fight in boxing. The amount of money will be enormous, it could well be > $100m.

Whenever this kind of money is in play negotiations are going to be intense, as they were for the FMW/P fight.

Do you really imagine P would ever have taken $10m? The $10m isn't serious. It's just a way for ODLH to try to get people off his and C's back. So nobody with any kind of commercial experience should be even talking about this 'offer.'

Let's be clear that both C and GGG bring a lot to this fight which is WHY it is such a huge fight. Neither of them can make anything like this money fighting anyone else other than FMW.

When the fight was a mandatory the splits were determined which would have shortcut negotiations a lot. But as soon as Canelo relinquished the title so it is a voluntary everything is up for negotiation. And to be fair, despite the frustration of many that the fight didn't just happen this year, for a fight this big that was probably inevitable and perhaps necessary to get the fight made.

If so confident get your boy to sign the contract. I view this fight as a real competitive one, more so than those who think it's a mismatch. Other than that wont waste much time talking about it til the contracts are signed
