Damn, Team Jacobs. Say you won't fight because of money, but don't say you don't have time to prepare for the fight. Looks like a duck now.

Comments Thread For: Golovkin-Jacobs: WBA Denies Request To Modify Purse Bid Split

Danny Jacobs is yet another in a long line, mostly of Haymon fighters, who think they should be stars and earning massive money without actually fighting quality opponents. This is all really very pathetic from Jacobs and his team. The WBA gifted him a living with the regular title nonsense and now he is put out that he'd only get 25% (but earn somewhere between $1-2mil) and has his trainer making lame excuses about not being ready for December when he was in an easy fight 5 weeks ago. Whats he been doing since the Mora fight, quivering in the basement waiting for uncle Al to call to tell him everything will be ok and that he doesn't have to fight Golovkin?

1) Haymon may have more funds available at the start of FY 2017, why not stall til then when, maybe, the funds would be available to win a purse bid?
1) Haymon has every reason to prefer Golovkin to continue fighting sub-par opposition and every reason to waste another Golovkin date. Why not stall until it's too late to get a decent Dec 10th replacement. Just smart business from Haymon.
Or maybe Danny just forgot he had a fight coming up?

It's not over yet, Loeffler's planning on a January Golovkin/Jacobs fight. More feasible ppv than in December.

genius, Jacobs expected a negotiation in good faith
I think you missed the point
look..... you're right, Team "we-really-do-want-to-fight, honest" can "enforce" whatever they like..... and then, Jacobs will obviously walk
congratulations, you just ate what Golovkin has been feeding you for years
you clowns don't want that fight, you want a legitimate excuse for when the fight falls over
you just want to run around spouting that "dey duckin doe" bull****

Could've done a double header with Jacobs/Blanco and Golovkin/Heiland to promote a ppv fight between them.
