If you mean by elite that he held a belt and defended it six times, okay, but that doesn't spell elite to me. Carlos Hernandez and Raul Perez were decent wins. I respect the guy but elite? If he'd at least made it the distance with the fight of his life against DLH, I'd think more of him. Like I say, agree to disagree. You getting the last word in doesn't validate anything. And you don't have to assume what I saw or didn't see. That just drops the level of the discussion.

I never mentioned Ali or srr
But PAC jmm Barrera morales and some of those guys mentioned was just you throwing out names...its clear their accomplishments n resume don't stack up
Odlh had 2 inches and 10-15 pounds on Floyd
So how was he a giant over them when he had the sane height advantage but less weight?
I'm the fan boy lol
Call me what you want
DLH frame is not much bigger then Floyd and he was wash uped,If its some big win then Pac-Margatito is huge win,i never counted Oscar on pac and may resumes, washep up old star. And tell me how many Floyd reach is longer than JMM i tell you much more then 2 inches,Pacman beat Morales,MAB and same best wins like floyd but beat them better being MUCH SMALLER man, only JMM was harder fight for him,so say me how saying Pac resume>Floyd resume is not legit?
With no trolls isnt it debatable?

Robinson
Holyfield
Duran
Hearns
Charles
Moore
Armstrong
Pacquiao
Barrera
Hagler
Oscar
Tito
Chavez Sr
I could go on and on.
Mayweather has a very good resume but there are better ones out there. However, ranking someone historically isnt just based on who you faced but also when you faced them and how you beat them. Mayweather lags behind in those categories.

Floyd isn't known to have a strong resume in compoarisin to real strong resumes.
The fact that f!oyd is floating around the 20 ish atg ball park doesn't mean to say there are only 20 people with better resumes. Floyd's thgat high cos of his perceived skills.
There are literally countless boxers with better resumes albeit with a few losses.

You're right on the style that you beat your opponent people are counting the Castillo and Maidana wins as really good wins but in the eyes of most he lost the first encounter with both he tends to rematch guys he believes he lost to and he 100% did lose to Castillo the Maidana fight I believe Maidana did enough by 2 or 3 rounds Floyd just got outworked and bullied about the ring.
I dunno... sure in his lower weight divisions he generally did put on a better showing he'd at times get his man out of there but very seldomly did he ever stop a very. very good fighter actually has he ever stopped a good fighter?
Very debatable.
Style wise he is safe and boring to watch hence why I honestly believe Rocky Marciano needs to be rated above him I admit I do compare Floyd and Rocky but not in terms of skill or style but the fact that they did both fight past best opponents but Rocky clearly was fighting with adversity his entire career and he managed to win with style give the fans a show and nevertheless he KOed some very great fighters who had size and reach over him.

When it comes to Floyd, everyone he missed is a duck.
When it comes to Manny, let's say, no one mentions Zahir Raheem for instance. Or the fact that he lost at every level to opponents of all levels.

its obvious many of these posters dont use logic, but their preferences and emotions
No one in the last 20 years has a better resume than Mayweather. He was the best of his era from 1995-until today. Their are definitely fighters with better resumes just not friggin marco antonio barrera lol..or any of these recent guys
Chavez doesnt, Whitaker comparable, Jones is comparable, you have to go back to the 70s and 80s to find guys with clear better resumes, like say Leonard, Ali or before that time
