Nothing great about if you if you can't find away to beat ALL STYLES because in this sport it is NO WAY every fighter if going to fight the same. Some will stick and move, some will stand toe to toe, some are able to work from the pocket, use timing in the pocket and still be slippery and slick standing right in front on his opponent

What qualifies for Greatness in this ERA is "POWER" if you have Power then you're a "GREAT FIGHTER" if you don't have Power then you're not a great fight you're "OVERHYPED" this is the Logic of the dumbest fans of all Sports which are the So Called "BOXING FANS"

Not only do guys want Greatness to come to them they also want fighters to come to them during the match as well
because when you cut off the ring the fighter is trapped and cant go anywhere else right? cutting off the ring is just a way to try and slow your opponent down, it doesnt necessarily stops him completely. your opponent moves to the right you move to the right to cut him off, he dash back to his left and circle out. repeat.

but can you answer my earlier point?

how the hell does somebody go so many amateur fights before turning pro?

300 fight? wouldnt 200 fights be enough? hell 100 would be enough if you have some inherent natural fighting skill, athleticism and talent.
Pernell Whitaker DE LA Hoya rigondeax lomachenko kovalev ggg all had 200 am. Fights . 3 of them had closer to 400 worked for them

Originally Boxing was about prize fighting. If you didn't entertain the fans you didn't get paid. The new form of Boxing we have today is actually much further down the drain than two warriors standing in the centre of the ring trying to K.O each other.

Hit and not get hit is not the heart and soul of Boxing.

Go watch an action movie and leave the sport of boxing alone, boxing is a sport just like any other sport, the goal is to win, and winners should be appreciated for the fact that whatever they did was successful and they won doing it, hit and not get hit IS boxing! whether u like it or not

Ever tried cutting the ring off on someone who's faster than you? It's really annoying.

actually no, boxing was first started out to resolve dispute. then later became a sport for entertaining. go watch some old boxing fights and you'll see two guys slugging it out in the middle of the ring. the "hit and not get hit" concept came along with most african americans didnt want to take punishment.

correct, as i said above, try cutting off the ring on your opponent and he'll just change direction circle out and repeat.

When Done Right? WATCH AND LEARN:

We all know Foreman was not known for his speed at all during his Prime but one thing he did brilliantly even vs Ali was CUT THE RING OFF! It depends on how you do it, fighters today just not as skilled as their fans want others to believe. It is a lot of "GOOD" fighters currently fighting to day but "GREAT FIGHTERS" NO! I have yet to see a fighter this ERA that I can truly call "GREAT" all I see is HYPE and fans acting like GROUPIES towards certain fighters and hyping them off to be better than what they really are because for some reason they get off on that

Great fighters can/could find ways to beat ALL STYLES! NO EXCUSE!

Fighters that didn't take too much punishment like Joe Gans or Jack Johnson for example were actually the most successful of their time, boxing is a smart man's game not a tough man contest.

Willie Pepp, one of the top 3 best defensive fighters of all time, was white, same as Nicolino Locche.

It's competition, it's a sport, it's about winning, smart fighters win dumb fighters lose. Go watch an action movie or a street fight if u wanna c 2 brainless oafs slug it out, that has nothing to do with boxing.
