Every fighter looks for fair money. Holding out for fair money when you get lowballed is normal. It's when you get fair offers, but you still hold out and make unreasonable demands, that it becomes a duck, which is what fighters always do with GGG.

That's the difference. Nuance. People have to be able to understand the subtle nuances involved in these logical deductions to see who is ducking and who is being ducked, but so many people aren't very smart or they're just biased that they can't understand the difference.

Let's do this next year!

Yep, that's a good analogy. Not D level drawing power like Ward, but certainly not anywhere near Canelo drawing power. There have been GGG-aholics actually saying he drew 97K vs Brook. As if he had much of anything to do with the 97K draw.

ggg fans are not putting this into perspective do people realize canelo only made 8 million against cotto? im honestly surprised some of the smarter ggg fans think this is a bigger ppv then like 800k tops and thats like absolute tops this is a huge fight but i dont think it will top canelo cotto

Did I read that right? 2M? That's some bull****. Where are the NSB accountants? How much would Canelo be making compared to the 2M for Golovkin?

And they still on that September bs? Yawn
no u didnt he said 8 figures meaning 10 million minimum

Jesus, some golovtards actually think GGG sgould get 40%? Manny freaking Pacquiao got 40% and he was a huge draw. In his prime he was pulling almost the same numbers as Mayweather. When has GGG ever come close to Canelo? IMO he doesn't possess the drawing power to even get a split. He is a flat fee fighter to an A side fighter. It is what it is.

Oscar made Floyds offer to Pacman look generous, Pacman ended up making $100M+, Floyd like $300. This fight is not as big, but it could make 1.5-2M buys which means that offering $10m is a 95/5 split which is saying, we dont want that fight. Also GGG just made $10mil in the brook fight, $5mil purse without any ppv extra + the sponsorships.

Well, if it ends up GGG misses this excellent opportunity, it's on him. HE is the one who keeps going on about wanting to fight Mexican style, wanting to prove he's the best. And here's a gold plated opportunity to show if he can do that, AND get paid extremely well. And while Canelo has a broken hand and will unfortunately have to sit out the rest of the year, he has said he wants to fight the best also.

Like I said yesterday, the GGG team has proven to not be all on the same page anyway... one saying no offer was made, another saying yes they rec'd an offer.... dismissing Saunders, Eubank Jr etc etc... when they're supposedly having trouble finding quality opponents. HERE is a quality opponent and a huge payday. Common sense would dictate to not drop the ball on this one.

GGG did not/will not end up with 10 mil for the Brook fight. Maybe 7 mil counting purse and everything else, tops.

I don't think that's biz for anyone to know besides the 2 camps. And traditionally, that info isn't released to the general public. Rarely anymore do those details ever come out. Maybe 1% of fights now publish any of the money details... let alone all of them.
