And now that the weight isnt an issue anymore, we are right back where we started, with them trying to find a purse split that both sides can agree to. But the devil is really in the details. Is there language in the offer that limits GGGs rematch money in the event he wins? How much of the "8 figures" is actually guaranteed money and not just speculation about possible ppv buys? There are a ton of details that nobody here knows, yet they swear they know everything in the offer.......lolLast edited by OnePunch; 09-19-2016, 11:10 PM.

Make an offer for a fight that is not happening for 12 months?
Flat fee for the biggest fight in boxing?
Flat Fee for the unified MW champion who holds at least 3 Major belts, most probably all 4 and is Undisputed Unified Champion in Sept next year?
Flat Fee for the guy who brings in all the International TV money because GGG has FAR more fans in Europe and Asia?
Also "Potential Upside"
5% of every PPV sold over 1 Million? If it sells less, then nothing?
Everyone knows why they are not giving us the details.
That fight generates at least 100-150 Million which means you give GGG a less than 10% split.
Why dont you just say, we are not ready for GGG. Canelo cant beat him, we just want to save face and fool the idiots and GGG haters who eat that shit up?
Make a reasonable offer in the Summer of Next year, when we both know how each fighter progressed, a fair Split Deal, between 70/30 and 60/40.

You can talk all you want about the sum total of any deal but the terms are every bit as important. Those who think Golovkin should just jump at this offer are eerily reminiscent of the usual suspects who absolutely insisted that Manny Pacquiao should have accepted Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s flat offer of $40 million for a fight. By the time they finally met, Pacquiao was guaranteed $150 million. (Sorry, I just had to mention this.)

It was revealed by Golden Boy Promotions that they had made an initial proposal to Golovkin's side.
Stefan Friedman, spokesperson for Golden Boy told krikya360.com on Monday morning - "We have made an offer, we made the offer thirty days ago. We made it to 'Triple G's representatives and the offer is an eight-figure offer with upside of the pay-per-view to fight 'Canelo.

Why doesn't Triple G come out and admit hes making business men decisions and holding out for more money?

10M w/ ppv upside is waaaaay more than he's worth as it is.
Its not PPV upside, its just upside. Which means if the event makes more than expected GGG can potentially make a little more. De La Hoyas offer, if true, is for a flat rate with upside, not PPV. DLH said in an interview that they offered GGG 8 figures with potential upside, he then followed that by saying PPV was something that could be discussed.
