Did he specify "when" the winner would get Canelo? lol. Technically, he could still be right if he didn't. I wouldn't put that type of spin past dude.

Fraidverez as the fans an apology he must rank as one of the most unpopular fighters in Mexico and that's a fact...

"He was a fearless beast who willingly fought the best boxer of this generation, southpaw movers who could make him look bad, murderous punchers who could’ve knocked him cold".

Who are these murderous punchers? Kirkland?

Boxing fans are full of ****. Threatening to boycott fights then they end up doing 350,000 buys or getting 1 million viewers.
what? boxing fans are not gonna pay for this fight, the ones buying are casual pochos(mexican-americans) who buy the fight to tweet/facebook that they're getting smashed at a party while celebrating "Mexican independence"(which was yesterday).

Mayweather would be too smart, and even at 38, too effective defensively, too quick and too skilled to lose to the comparatively limited Filipino superstar
God, I hope spoon is reading this lmao!!!

Such a bunch of whiners AND TOTAL HYPOCRITES all these people saying "boycott, boycott" and calling Canelo a coward. May I please remind you, you bunch of biased GGG or anti-Canelo fans that:

                1) YES, Canelo has been avoiding GGG BUT ONLY AT 160 pounds or above.

                2) GGG himself has been avoiding Canelo at 154-155 and has NEVER EVER proposed a catch-weight of say 157 against a guy who has NEVER EVER fought above 155. Yet he and his loud-mouth trainer keep saying that GGG will fight ANYONE 154-168. Yeah, right, liars!

So they are both "cowards" under different circumstances.

Hey, bunch of hypocrites whining about boycotting Canelo until he fights GGG at the latter's convenient weight (160) why didn't you EVER ask to boycott your bully cowardly fighter when he bullied a blown-up welter weight who had to go up 13 pounds to face him? HYPOCRISY at its best, that's what you guys very accurately portray.

BTW I am equally a fan of both GGG and Canelo because they are aggressive fighters, and always give the fans good performances, so I will watch them even if they fight against opponents that really don't stand much of a chance vs. either of them, because I love boxing, period. I don't fixate myself foolishly into worshiping a particular fighter, even if he is a hypocrite who pretends to be willing to fight any one but the reality is: yes, anyone but with some restrictions (which in reality means being a liar, a hypocrite and a coward). True boxing fans never do that, EVER. We are willing to watch just about any professional fight because we love boxing, as opposed to loving to watch only CERTAIN fighters, and only when the fight conditions are advantageous for them, so they have way bigger chances of winning.

Give it a rest. Nobody is talking about Mayweather. He's gone, you don't like him so you should be more than inclined to not bring him up, no?

Real talk. No boycott talk when GGG fought non ranked by anyone on house arrest Wade. Or just a week ago when he dragged a WW up two full weight classes in such a blatant mismatch that the WBA refused to sanction it. Smith is at least world champ and top ranked by everyone in Canelo's weight class something NEITHER Wade or Brook were. Phony whiny GGG fanboys had no problem supporting those fights but since GGG can't dictate terms on Canelo we should boycott his fight? GTFO

I hate this line of thought because Alvarez absolutely has the power to demand Golovkin. If Alvarez hides behind "my team" for the fight not happening, then that means he doesn't want Golovkin enough to demand it like he has other fights. That means he doesn't really want it and is willing to avoid it.

                      No excuses for Alvarez here.
