I respectfully disagree. Check out this uncut press video of Eubanks and Saunders. Go to around 21:30 into the interview where Saunders says to Eubanks "You think you can beat Golovkin? Golovkin would destroy both of us on the same night." Pretty telling, don't you think?

Jacobs is the mandatory so that doesn't surprise me. They're sure as hell not going to give up one belt just to try and win another. Saunders will be there later.

      Here's hoping Jacobs actually happens.

That's old. Things have changed since the Brook fight, believe me.

Quality? Jacobs is a journeyman slugger who will get hammered into oblivion.

Saunders is actually a very good boxer who has some brains, I would have much preferred that.

Oh well, at least we get this WBA mess cleared up.

GGG was his mandatory so he had no option but to make the figth at 160.
Canelo weights on fight night the same or more than Golovkin (proven in your ****ing thread) so there's no point in making a CW. CW's are valid when some fighter is bigger than the other.

fight won't happen...GGG doesn't need Danny Jacobs. GGG needs to satisfy his WBA mandatory obligation. There is no incentive for K2 to overpay and lose money if they are in financial control of the event. DJ wants to be paid and no one can fault him, so he'll no doubt vacate if this ends up at purse bid.

However, that could backfire on GGG and leave him without a big name dance partner in early-2017. I can definitely see DJ vacating and signing to fight Saunders for his WBO belt. Likely for less $$, but way less risk...

Yeah, let's put GGG on with a "man" who tells another man, "GGG can beat us both in one night", that's the guy we want to see GGG in the ring with.

Loeffler says they're going to make the Jacobs fight 1st.
This is what I wanted to hear, I'd rather see Jacobs-GGG rather than Saunders-GGG. Screw the belt, I want quality.
If you want quality and have no concern over belt holders why not a move to 168 where he would have to break sweat to win ? Ain't a single challenge south of 168 for him.

People need to stop pretending Saunders is better than he is. Golovkin tracks him down and stops him within six rounds and Saunders has absolutely nothing to stop it from happening. This is the same guy squeaking past Euro level guys like Ryder and Eubank Jr, ffs.
