HBO aired at 5:30pm basically the same as Fury fight that drew over 1m viewers for HBO

From playing to a sold-out crowd of 50,000 at ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany, to Fury ending Klitschko's lengthy title reign, there was plenty to celebrate without actually focusing on the fight itself. The live presentation also made the HBO brass smile, as the Saturday afternoon matinee special averaged a staggering 1.038 million viewers.

Anyway, Golovkin is not a huge draw, we already knew this.

Ggg fought murray overseas HBO aired live at 5:45pm and that drew better ratings. The time is not the problem ggg is just not a big draw. Has hard core fans that troll the Internet but it doesn't translate to casual fans. Look at his ppv for more evidence of this.

Million plus with the UK numbers isnt bad for Golovkin. There arent many boxing fans that watch every fight anymore.

This is why HBO keeps on lowering their boxing budget and uses that money for shows that people actually watch like Game of Thrones.

You want HBO boxing to have a bigger budget? Simple. Get the audience.

to be fair hearn is a slime ball that lies at every angle......so u mentioning hearn is like mentioning A bribing arum in his prime for numbers.

also the HBO numbers is what matters because golovkin primarily fights on HBO he doesn't have the U.K. crowd in the grand scheme of things.
