I read Golovkin was 158.8? Not that it makes much difference.

I don't know if this happens to others but i fly from UK to Japan and Korea quite regularly and sometimes i tend to feel a little bloated for a day or two after my flights. I'm not sure why i feel this way or even if there is any change, it might be a mental thing but those long flights can have an effect.
It makes no difference to me anyway as i'm not a pro athlete but i wouldn't like to feel i was having to keep my body in perfect condition to hit a certain weight the same week i was travelling across the world and adjusting to time differences.
As someone who flies long distance a lot, i'd say flying that far a week early for a fight while keeping in perfect condition is cutting it fine.
Then again, they know more than me and are pro's, plus they have flew to Monte Carlo for fights so i'm sure they know their stuff.Last edited by deathofaclown; 09-09-2016, 09:32 AM.

If Brook could take GGG into deep waters and still be strong there could be a n
interesting time and merry ol' England.
If GGG is putting on a non interest look to lure Brook into exchanges early he's a better actor than Haye!!!!
Interesting match up, will GGG age in front of us and will Brook show a big heart?

We the English, are some of the most miserable bastards known to earth. We are frankly proud of this fine tradition and take exception (but not offence) in being referred to as "Merry."
Point in case, the Royal Family. It's been several hundred years since anyone genuinely believed they should be taking decisions on our behalf and yet we keep them in place as figures to direct hate towards. Prince Philip is the exception that proves the rule. He is warmly thought of by the people but strictly on the basis that he's used as a proxy to direct hate towards other nations. Just google any of his quotes for context.

I just finished watching the weigh in. For sure GGG looked as if he did not want to be there at all. Look at his expression when he gets on the scale, he may as well have said get me out of this place. Also, not one time did he crack a smile. I would not be surprised if he actually caught some sickness.
With that being said, I also will not be surprised if he knocks Brook ****** by the 7th round.
By the way, Brook looks absolutely fit to be at middleweight. There is no way he should be fighting below 154.

Those who've attempted to navigate around the reality of a monstrous-punching middleweight facing a career-long welterweight continue to touch themselves over the fact that Brook (36-0, 25KOs) has been the heavier boxer at every weigh in.
Lmfao. GGG fan boys nailed, Jubei and Maxi where you hiding ? You resorted to touching each other ?

September 8, 2016:
You would think when you compile their records which collectively add up to 71-0 (57), you’d have the making of the ultimate slugfest between middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin 35-0 (32) and welter weight title holder Kell Brook 36-0 (25). And that very well could be how it turns out. However for Brook to give himself his best chance to win, he would be best served fighting as a boxer-puncher more so than an attacker and seeking the spectacular knockout.
Today everyone looks at Golovkin as if he’s impervious to pain and perhaps unbeatable. But the fact of the matter is, as terrific as GGG has been, he’s been swimming in a shallow pool of upper-tier middleweights. Nobody is giving Brook a chance, but he’s a much better opponent than anyone Golovkin has faced so far…But here’s where the problems show up. Even though he’s a big welterweight, he’s going to get out-muscled by Golovkin. Rather than doing the sensible thing, and opting for a hit-and-run strategy, he’s bulked way, way, up.
He now looks like a body builder-absolutely the dumbest strategy he could have taken. By packing on useless weight, he has taken away all of his natural advantages. He should have come in at 154-156, and moved all night (or for as long as possible). It looks like he’s decided to try to get Golovkin’s respect by standing his ground. If that’s what he does, he’s dead.
More than likely, Brook added the weight/muscle so he can attempt to withstand the additional power that the middleweight champion produces while also attempting to inside fight and effectively clinch Golovkin with strength and weight. In my opinion, Brook's best chance is to make this an ugly fight and physically try to disrupt Golovkin's rhythm and offense.Last edited by Mr. Luthor; 09-09-2016, 10:05 AM.
