Leonard waited till Hagler was old and in silk PJs... plus Hagler agreed to let Leonard choose the gloves (10-ounce Reyes), the number of rounds (12) and the size of the ring (20-foot)...and still lost! lol

In other words, Brook has to fight the fight of his life. IMO that's not likely to happen. But..... If he does then he'd pull off a bigger upset than Douglas did against Tyson.

Hagler gave all those concesions for $ greed. He lost first four rounds boxing righty. Then fight heated up Ray three more landed more and combos got haglers respect. No potty pat. 15 rounds hagler catches up didn't that night 7-5 Leonard generous .

Hey brainiac, I was 'asking" a question as the situation is similar as far as two fighters from different weight classes facing each other...please highlight the parts of my comment where I compared Brook to Leonard, if anything I was asking about criticism towards Hagler as compared to GGG. Please read before mounting your soapbox looking to educate people with your knowledge.

I think you are very delusional. The fact is Canelo was holding the WBC m.w. title, GBP went out of their way to make sure the Cotto fight was for the title. Instead of facing his mandatory [GGG] he signed to fight a welterweight. After knocking out AK, the Mexican Pwusseee invited GGG into the ring, beat his chest, challenged GGG to touch his balls and offered to put the gloves on and fight. About a week later he gave back the green belt to the WBC. If you think that is the action of a warrior we have 2 different definitions. GGG is fighting Brook because he is the only one around with any balls...meanwhile Canella was afraid to fight a guy with a "paper mache resume" ??? so what is L.Smiths resume made from??? Take your head out of the sand and Canellas pipe out of your mouth, you are making excuses for a lame azz. But please let me know what the resume of Smith is made from???

Did you conveniently forget the facts that A) Hagler was the bigger fighter, B) Leonard hadn't fought in almost 3 years and only twice in 6 years leading up to the fight and was literally retired, C) Leonard had never fought at middleweight, D) Did not even have a tune-up fight??? And Leonard still won the fight.

Will GGG and Abel Sanchez be the next victims of the Mayweather Curse? They talked **** about Floyd whereas Brook has never said a bad word about him.

There is nothing wrong in my mind with a WW champion moving up to challenge for a mw championship. Had any of the guys at mw stepped up we wouldnt be seeing this fight. You guys forget that SRR moved up from WW and became a ***ing legend at MW and so did SRL. Kell Brook is neither of them as far as we know yet but he sure as hell isnt Amir Khan. To compare the Khan vs Canelo fight to this one is asinine. Brook probably isnt going to win but what if he does, i think we can all agree it would be more legit than had Khan not laid his chin out there and outboxed Canelo to a decision he would have been robbed of. If Brook beats Golovkin it will be huge. The haters here will have fodder for probably 5 years and the boxing wolrd will be turned on its head. Win/Win for most of you asshats.

Did you read what had to say in that interview ... that he was a natural WW and had to work hard to gain weight and stay around 155 in order to fight above WW?

Kell has to work like a trojan to make 147 and looked fighting fit at 176 for his 30 day weight check for GGG. I'm actually a little worried he might have to drain himself to make 160 if he gets over-confident and leaves it too late before starting to cut.
Stop it ffs kafkod....brook is not Leonard and never will be.....Leonard had every advantage over kell brook in terms of boxing ability and resume .....brook on the other hand has every right to try and attain greatness by beating golovkin and he's a welterweight champ who's unbeaten and possibly besides Spence the best welterweight in the world but stop trying to compare him to sugar ray because he's nowhere near it......and take that cheating ***** bum off your profile..its offensive to other posters
