Comments Thread For: Sugar Ray Leonard on What Brook Needs To Shock Golovkin

Legendary Hall of Famer Sugar Ray Leonard knows what it's like to be the underdog, moving up in weight for a dangerous fight. I do not remember people criticizing Hagler for making this fight with SRL the way people today criticize GGG? I was only 17 and there was no internet but I remember people were looking forward to it?

Hagler wasn't 34 with a paper mache resume.

Don't talk to me about Hagler. He never moved up. If he was so good, he should have moved up to 175 and taken on Spinks.

              Terrible deflection.

Such a small teeny tiny MW like Gigi should have accepted the catchweight.

The guy refuses to take any challenges whatsoever.

Hagler wasn't 34 with a comedy skit for a resume.

Hagler's first high profile fight was freaking Roberto Duran.

Well SRL was in a completely different stratosphere to Kell Brook in terms of what he had achieved in his career up to that point
