his whole image was based on talking crap to his opponents during these press. he wasnt able to do that since he lost. i bet you for this 3rd fight (since he won), were not gonna hear any issues about not doing press or that it gets in the way of his training.

see this is the problem i have with him. he's only a man and carry himself as a real fighter when he's winning. as soon as he loses, he goes back on everything that he talks about.
He did all the press asked of him for 202.

In case you weren't watching it, he did a whole lot of trash talking for this fight. His whole persona was the same as always, he was brash, he predicted he would drop, cut and stop Diaz, there was a whole argument and bottle throwing press conference...what was different exactly?

He prepared to fight at 155 against a guy that he was fully confident of stopping. Instead, he fought a totally different style while carrying an additional extra 15lbs...that is preparation.

Neither guy was properly prepared first time.
wtf do you think he means by this then --

“It’s a bitter, bitter pill to swallow,” McGregor said. “I took a shot, I went at it – I feel I was simply inefficient with my energy. Usually I fight a man in the division I’m champion in, and they crumble under those shots (I landed). But Nate took them very well, the weight I think allowed him to take those shots well.

      “I think with a little bit of an adjustment and recognition that the bigger man must be a bit more efficient with your striking, you must not put everything into your shots. I was simply inefficient with my energy;

once again, has nothing to do with preparation but the game plan itself.

he was the better prepare guy. what dont you understand out of this? did nate know he was gonna fight conor? they both didnt know they were gonna fight eachother BUT conor was in fighting shape. he went thru a full training camp for crying out loud! he even said so himself that the game plan was all wrong the first time.
He was more in fighting shape (for 155) , that is not the same as preparation.

Preparation is about what you are doing in camp; training for your opponent, your game plan, having a strategy to exploit weaknesses, etc...Neither guy was prepared for a fight on 10 days notice.

          That is the preparation!

Conditioning is part of preparation, game plan for the specific opponent is part of preparation, camp breakdown is part of preparation.

he was force to do the press, and that little incident was a reaction from what nate's team did. was conor suppose to just sit there while bottles is being thrown at him? i never said he was a bitch, so of course he's gonna chuck some bottles back at them.

he also predicted that he was gonna beat nate in the first fight and look happen there?

Conditioning is a separate entity bin itself, the preparation is your game plan for the specific opponent.
no, just stop. you know damm well he wasnt talking about conditioning.

"you must not put everything in those shots"

what do you think he means by that?

he ran out of gas because he came with the wrong game plan by trying to bully nate.

Their second fight was a razor thin decision. Conor made a great adjustment but his stamina failed him and almost lost him the fight in the judges eyes. You saying Aldo won't test his stamina is like me saying Conor won't defend the takedowns in the Diaz rematch. We simply do not know until the former champ gets his rematch, as Conor got his vs Diaz. Mendes had him on his back plenty before those 10 days of prep took its toll. I don't

Khabib, Alvarez and RDA are the guy's at 155. Khabib is a monster.
Nate's main strengths are durability, stamina and BJJ. All of those were key in the 1st bout. McGregor was ready for a fight, but he was not prepared for 170 (I had the 2nd fight 48-46 btw, 3-2 but clear).

I don't think Aldo has much chance personally; he isnt as skilled as a boxer, he can't take the power and he gets hit often...I'd fully expect him to lose in one again.

Khabib is clearly the best at 155, Alvarez and RDA are there to be beat.

Of course he's talking about conditioning, that's exactly what 'energy expenditure' is. He expended all his energy AKA ran out of gas.

He was throwing every shot looking for a knockout and ran out of steam, his preparation was not correct for Diaz the 1st time.

                      That's the point.

You said he only stands by his talk when he's winning, when he quite clearly did the same after a loss.

Are you reading what you're writing?
