Of course he wanted more, he wanted nearly 20 times more.

Shabransky wanted double the available budget that HBO set down for the fight, which was roughly about 300,000. Roc Nation paid the rest out of their pocket.

The Shabransky fight was not possible, Period. Doesn't mean either man ducked. Well done you suckered me into a pointless back and forth
    Yep, well said.

"Budget aside, there are very few willing and available fighters to face Ward. That is just fact. As for Shabranskyy, he was offered the fight per Golden Boy and the Ward camp and turned it down. I was told he asked for more than double the available HBO money for the entire bout." -Dan Rafael

And in that 13 second clip he was fighting moving forward for 13 more seconds than he did the whole fight with Ward

            Brand was paid $30,000.

So Shabranskyy's management asked for $60,000?

The Brand fight was terrible but they did go through a number of fighters that were not available for whatever reason, clearly they were happy to settle for a walkover opponent that would cost next to nothing. Is that a decision worthy of scrutiny?..... Hell yeah!! .... but does it mean Ward ducked Shabransky??? Hell No.
I'm not sure about the financial discussions but a fight vs Shabransky might have more views and more budget. Ward's fight before Brand had like 1.5m views which isn't bad.

                      No.

Golden Boy and Shabranskyy asked for $60,000 to fight Ward on HBO, but the offer was just $30,000.
