... Ward has a history with injuries.

In 2011, he suffered a cut above the eye during camp and postponed the Froch fight with more than one month and a half.
In 2013, he suffered a shoulder injury during camp and scrapped the Pavlik fight.
In 2015, he suffered another injury and scrapped his Brand fight in November.

Ward will beat him. Ward has faced better opposition than anyone from 160-175 over the last five years. He has beaten them all. The Krusher didn't KO a 49 year old Bernard Hopkins, because of his cautious assault. Ward is not even close to that age.

Kovalev has a small gas tank.

Boring fight. Kovalev will try to push the fight and walk Ward down or run him down. Ward will clinch a lot try to hit on the break or pot shot.

If it goes to a decision the guy the promoters networks and sanctioning bodies want to win...will win the fight. I dont see a blow out fight for either fighter.

Ward? I don't understand how he goes from fighting someone with almost no chance.... to fighting a guy who would need an act of God to survive, which he did.

It is quite possible ward is thinking.... this is my last chance to cash out.

In reality, if he loses to Kovalev, assuming the fight happens, he can have a second payday versus GGG by moving to 168 or a catch weight. After GGG fight, he would be done though.

If he does beat Kovalev... the chances for a bigger payday or a fight against GGG does go down.

Some ignorant people here said that this fight will be boring. It might be, if you don't know anything about professional boxing. I think Ward will try to come in and close the distance to get way from the Kovalev jab. He will try to work inside and negate Kovalev's power. He will get tagged coming in and taste the canvas in the 2nd or third round. He will hesitate after that. I think he will go down again in round 11. If Kovalev survives the head butts from Ward without a fight ending cut, Kovalev will win a decision.
