Besides boxing being such a tough sport, most athletic fighters aren't in boxing, you take a kid to pick a sport and any kid wants to get punched in the face, most of the guys are in boxing for help, they need get out of the street or just want a lonely sport to fight themselves and their demons, this girl who destroyed that record on swimming, her dad is a millionare graduated from harvard i believe, you would never see something like that in boxing, only Shumenov, but he sucks.

Maybey because they can't swim as good as white people. I guess you are going to argue I am wrong? Ok.. Show me the black Phelps & Dara Torres?

Lets get it right folks.. Swimming is IN THE WATER. The water resistance is much worse than air resistance. Phelps>Bolt. Also Phelps has mastered the Butterfly, individual medley, freestyle & backstroke! That's like Bolt triple jumping & hurdling too! Phelps has way more technicalities to master than just running! Beyond that, running is a much more intuitive sport from a technical perspective. Even if you're not perfect, you know how to run at a basic level. Swimming times considered even close to competitive require a much more practiced technique. I'm sorry but 21 golds over FIVE Olympics in various disciplines! Come on now.. Embrace it & learn to deal with it

      Greatest Olympian ever!

That's why I shake my head when people say he's the greatest athlete ever. You can't be a swimmer and be the greatest athlete ever. It's not a skilled sport. As far as being naturally gifted, that goes to Usain Bolt.

He wouldn't make it as a boxer.
By far your most ******ed post I've ever seen. Dumb as ****k

The most concussive KO artists have small fists. It is a pure physics... The pressure is distributed per surface. If contact surface is smaller, the pressure in the impact zone is higher. Which is why some smaller weight fighters sometimes "hurt opponents more than heavyweights".

Every elite boxer had the same qualities, so I recon he would have gotten just fine.. Really hard to predict how he would box like though : lol1:
He would be more suited to less to CW & more to HW I recon..
In addition to stamina and brute strength boxing requires a keen sense of distance and hand-eye coordination. I think the sports which highly rely on reflexes may produce high-level boxers. For instance tennis and badminton. And top level tennis players have also very good stamina and speed. Not to mention that tennis is also one-on-one competition where you have to be stronger than your opponent psychologically. I think someone like Rafael Nadal could be quite an accomplished fighter. Or Djokovic.

Where did I say Floyd did win a gold medal momo?

I'm just saying if boxers had as many different event categories as swimming boxers would have loaded trophy cases too. I mean ffs swimming is swimming. You don't need to break it up into 40+ different swimming events. Thats f#cking ******ed.
