I hope Pacquiao doesn't give him a chance just because of the way his team acts. Pacquiao should just retire.
People are saying Pac would beat Crawford. Yes, maybe a few years back, but Pacquiao is not the same anymore. And he hasn't been for a few years. I hope the old legend calls it a day. Nothing left to prove.

It's not going to be a passing of the torch. Beating Pac now isn't going to do much for anyone's career anymore.
If fighters at 140 and 147 wanted to get the torch they would have needed to defeat Mayweather, but they couldn't. It is what it is.

I think Pac's speed and angles will cause problems for Crawford. It's one thing to see him on TV and think I can take this dude but in the ring, that speed is unreal.

I would LOVE to be wrong, but boxing has let me down time and time again in regards to getting excited over big fights happening at the perfect time… only to watch them dissipate
But if im wrong, praise the boxing gods
Real boxing fan knows what's coming, Vargas vs Manny in Nov.
Crawford vs Manny maybe next year, but i doubt it! (BOB Arum with a big smile in his face).

You know I thought Rigo was boring at times but by god TC took it to a new level tonight in his lethargic boring approach with Postol and this isn't just the first time.
Manny should retire or fight someone with a big following because say Crawford even won who will care it won't do him any favours fans go towards fighters that have a colourful personality and that can provide some entertainment value TC lacks both sadly but I know he could provide on the entertainment if he wasn't so scared.
I said this last night. People get on Rigo's case but at least he is in the pocket or close to it. He fought and beat Donaire, a fighter far more accomplished than Postol. And it was an entertaining fight. Crawford could have had Postol out of there in the late rounds last night. Even earlier. But he wouldn't engage enough to get it done.
Pac had issues with Mayweather's mobility. Crawford is, at this point, slicker than Floyd was a year ago. We already saw Mayweather had slowed down in Maidana One. If I was Pac I just wouldn't entertain another fight like the Mayweather one. You can't dictate how a fighter will fight in the negotiations. So if you are the A side, as Pac is, just don't entertain boxers who don't come to fight. Vargas it is then.

And like Pea, his defense is exquisite but he lives on the edge. One large difference between the two is pedigree. A win like this moves him up the p4p ladder but I almost need to see the Pacquiao fight in order to be fully convinced.

Dude has a great eye. IQ. Can **** as well as box. I can't wait to see him at 140. Hes going to own that division for as long as he wants. When he wants to be elusive and use the jab in sequences if 3 and 4, he reminds me of Pernell. This kid is very, very good.

I take 2008 Pac to defeat 2008 Mayweather and 2016 Bud. Not now though. People going on about Pac's speed and angles but you have to catch up with Crawford first if he fights like he did last night.
I disagree about a fighter not getting acclaim for beating Pac. That will still happen in the mainstream press [where nuances such as aging and wear and tear are wilfully ignored] - and getting in the mainstream press is how stars are born.

Whatever weight it is Crawford will be bigger than Pac. The dude's a middleweight on fight night. At this point Pac would get knocked out by Crawford. If he actually beat Crawford then that would be better than any wins he has had at welterweight in a while.

against fundamentally sound boxers like Floyd and TC, getting them out of their comfort zone is key. 2008 PAC would have done that for sure. PAC's volume of punches would have kept them on their toes constantly. He had a bit more speed, was more hungry and was a bit more unorthodox/unpredictable.

So I could see why you think Pac then would have a better shot then.

What if manny comes down to 140 and mows this kid down? Lol manny will then be the lineal champ AGAIN lol pay manny his 20 mil and you got it bob lol. I was at the fight last night as well as the pacquiao bradley fight and i still think tim bradley poses more problems for manny. T bud is kinda sllw starter and you cant do that with manny unless you have a margarito like chin, even floyd didnt start slow with manny and he usually does. I think manny kills tbud like manny did to hatton

Well, the thing is he's paid his dues to the sport, he has given so damn much to the sport he has nothing left to prove he has put on countless classics that will be watched over and over again...
I'd say If Crawford was willing to be great and push the distance go out and give the fans THEIR money's worth then I'd support the idea of this happening but after last night no I don't think he deserves anything.

I'll support the idea of the fight If it isn't a PPV I genuinely feel bad for the people who were robbed out of their pocket of $60 such a high price for a very lacklustre card and mainevent.
