4 loss, 2 draws Jorge Heiland??? Hell NO!!!
12 - 0 Alfonso Blanco??? NO! 12 fight enough said.
Grand Tureno (Just already did the IBF Mandatory)
Super midget Avtandil Kurbsize??? Hell NO!!!

Brook vs. GGG is going to be HUGE in the UK. Plus it opens up UK fans to him... Win/Win situation.

    Unless he loses of course!!
Yeah exactly, is going to be a big event, and brooks an undefeated world level fighter, who knows maybe he will carry the weight up effectively and skill wise ggg probably hasnt fought someone in the pro ranks of his ability. Obviously ggg is a heavy favourite and should win but the difference between khan moving up and brook moving up is that khans glassjaw was exposed at lightweight and repeatedly time and time again so everyone knew as soon as canelo landed it was game over

Brook is a big WW and usually fights a lil under 160 on fight night. He doesn't have a lot of time to bulk up though??? Hopefully he comes in really fit and healthy at 155ish. The day before and then weighs around 165ish on fight night. Hopefully the IBF's weigh-in rules are in effect and GGG will be weighed the day of the fight and CAN'T weigh more than 10lbs.

MW exemplifies why I consider Boxing to be a business more-so than a sport. If you drop GGG's hype machine, he would be stuck in mud like Rigo and guys would easily avoid him. Without the machine, would GGG have gotten Geale/Murray/Lemieux? Would GGG have gotten his hands on three belts? The hype machine is a double-edged sword though, because now he's perceived as THE guy without actually beating everyone and the fans complain incessantly when his matchmaking is less-than-ideal. The dude was fighting 4 times a year, of course he won't be fighting the best guy out every-time. His problem this year is that his match-ups (and ring activity) have been heavily impacted by politics/business. When not one significant MW match-up has been made in 7 months, the people in charge are seriously FUCKING UP.

Hate the fight. Lose-lose for GGG. If he loses, it's huge. If he wins, big deal, he's supposed to. Is there ANY top level middleweight with the balls to fight him. This is just embarrassing now.

            It just seems pointless.

I have always been of the opinion that fighting in 1 division your whole career is fine..... but middleweight is dead and has been for some time now, and by selecting Brook and then using the "best we could get" excuse..... it is pointless staying at 160.
actually, Cotto paid him $800 grand to leave him alone.......

              1. He NEEDS a fight in Sept. He already messed around too long with CanYellow and now Eubank.
              2. James DeGale vs. Badoo Jack is in talks. So can't move up.
              3. Gilberto Ramírez is out for 5 months because of injury
              4. CanYellow, Jacobs flat-out won't fight him yet.
              5. Eubank, Saunders want a SHT ton of $$$$$$$$$$$$
              6. It's July 10th. the fight is two months away. So there really is no other option. A- Fighter has to be available and ready. B- Contract/TV/Location/et. ALL have to be AGREED upon in such a short time. C- Not much time left for promotions/Training.
              7. Both Charlo Bros. are defending their titles. Julian Jackson against 1 of them.
              8. Cotto, CanYellow, Smith won't.

That ONLY leaves TWO boxer LEFT...

Erislandy Lara - And Lara is with Showtime

              And

              Kell Brook
and you give a welter 2 months to go up 2 weightclasses??, that right there should be a bigger roadblock, ggg should have said no, is not enough time for this and i dont want to be part of a joke... and by the way lara has no network contract just like wade...

those ibf weighins dont happeng on fight night, those take place the morning of the fight and that give the fighters plenty of time to continue rehydrating before entering the ring, if ggg weighsin at 170, nothing will stop him from entering 175 in the ring...

This is pretty much my opinion articulated far better than I'm capable of doing. GGG can't keep using the excuse of guys not wanting to fight him as a reason tp not wanna move up and challenge himself. Especially when the guys avoiding aren't that good in the first place. Every shred of credibility that this guy's belt quest had was destroyed by signing up to fight a welterweight. Its **** or get off the pot time for GGG. This guy needs a defining fight soon to justify this hype machine. And signing off to fight Brook eliminates any excuse he could come up with not to go after the Ward-Kovalev winner. And he better hope its Kovalev. Because Kovalev doesn't wanna fight him. But if its Ward, Andre is gonna be relentless in his pursuit of GGG. Not only that, he'll be able to demand it at 175. And any answer outside of, "yes, we'll fight at 175", is gonna get GGG deatroyed in the media and make him look like a total fraud.

Mess is created by Al Haymon and Oscar by having his fighters run scared from GGG

I would place more of the blame on HBO and Team GGG. GGG has been marketed as this indestructable fighting machine. Therefore when matching him. They have to be careful not only to match him with guys he can beat. They have to match him with guys that he can look good against. Which ia why top level guys like Ward and Lara, who have styles that may not beat GGG. But will definitely make him look more human. And in doing so, chipping away at his aura of invincibility.
