What is HBO going to do about getting Ward another opponent?

First Sharbanskky priced himself out. Now I hear Cleverly choose to fight Braehmer for more money instead of Ward. He came out of his pocket to give Barrera his highest payday. HBO has gotta chip in and pay extra for his opponents. Eldier Alvarez has a July date scheduled with no opponent but I doubt HBO will allow him to fight off network. HBO needs to go to Golden Boy and see how much it'll take to get Sharbanskky

Let him fight on BET again.

I don't think a tune up fight for Ward on HBO in July makes Kovalev-Ward any bigger in November, unless it is against someone worth watching (which doesn't appear to likely). Ward is not must see tv.

Hopefully they find him someone cuz I feel like if they don't get him a July guy then the November thing might not go down or be pushed out a month or two & I got epoints riding on November happening.

LOL, but honestly yea. Hell no one wants to see Kovalev fight the guy he's fighting in July either. They should just be fighting each other in July, but Ward & his "tune up's" (not that I even disagree with that, but yawn) = Kov & a less risky fight to keep busy in July himself = wtf man just bleed. F#cking business of boxing bs.

Ffs. How many tune ups does this guy need? He hasn't fought anyone with a pulse for what? 5 years?

Yeah I think Ward should forget HBO and fight any tall white dude ranked in the top 20 on BET or something. He needs to get ready for Kovalev, the TV network shouldnt matter because ultimately the big fight will be on HBO.

Ward ranked Barrera down. & Ward is top 5 in each main council. you should read what others say in this thread. If it's Ward's priority to snag all the belts or get that shot, as someone else mentioned, Eleider Alvarez would pressure more mandatory for the WBC, meaning Adonis vs? Ward is very close to the potential mega fight against Kova.

Either way, Ward is in very difficult and challenging waters in getting hit by elites at 175. He showed no ring rust against Barrera, and played a smart defensive game too. Ward looks like they are doing the right thing to the path..

Considering he has a contract with HBO & he can't fight off network & HBO wants to get this fight as hyped up as possible & they have a relationship with Golden Boy, they should be trying to get him a fight. And it's not like they're reserving any HBO dates for Sharbanskky.
