Povetkin didn't even test dirty. He tested below the threshold in one test out of several and VADA said there wasn't time to retest. WBC postponed the fight.
Never was there a dirty/cancellation/etc.They just postponed for testing.
Wilder himself backs out of rescheduling the fight then demands he get paid anyway. Just strip him if that's his game.

Wilder is jumping the gun now.
If more VADA tests indicate that Povetkin was telling the truth about not taking this stuff since it went on the banned list, I assume he will remain as Wilder's mando and the fight will be rescheduled.
If Povetkin's story doesn't check out he will be suspended, lose his mando position, and the fight will be off.
Then Dibella/Haymon can sue Ryabinski and Deontay should end up getting something out of this, though probably not his full purse.

There's no need for conspiracy theories here. Either Povetkin kept taking the stuff after it became illegal or he has residual traces remaining from previous legal use.
Hopefully, the extra tests he's been doing will clear that question up soon.

this is all wilders doings. NO PAY FOR WILDER
you probably supported cut off dates even though knowing when testing ends is not random....DUH..... The dude tested positive for something that was banned 5 months ago. 9/10 he was taking it recently.
would you fight someone on PED...simple
Wilder deserves a % or better yet investigate Povetkin and fine him, suspend him or simply ban him. Too many shady PED users come out of russia and europe

you idiots are mad at wilder?
He got in shape, was clean, and signed to fight a more experienced guy in his home country.
You are some really sick individuals. Povetkin cheated and yall are trashing Wilder.
You guys were really looking forward to seeing Wilder on his back, too bad Povetkin didnt think he could get him there without a little help.

Damn Wilder gets a lot of hate. I understand he's not the most skilled of heavyweights out there, but Wilder was working hard for this fight, was expecting a payday, and then it's because of Povetkin failing a drug test that he loses a payday. Give the man something. Maybe not his whole payday because he didn't fight, but the man spent time and energy in a training camp. Throw the man a bone!
And I don't care about him pulling away from the fight. Wilder has a reason to be pissed and deserves some type of compensation. Povetkin had his chance and he blew it by wasting team Wilder's time.
