Please stop. I didn't say he ducked. He refused the offer, which is a fact. You labeling it as garbage is because you are a GGG fan and are making an excuse for those actions.

This is the same BS from Manny fans when it comes to his refusing offers for Floyd. When a man makes a decision, that is his decision and he has to wear it. I understand his decision contradicts what you think about him and how he has been marketed. Yes, GGG has been avoided and ducked by big names at MW.

Fans should accept the fact that GGG, despite what you want to believe, operates just like any other boxer with an HBO deal nowadays-he will avoid the fights he could lose until the big payday comes. He will make any big money fight that's easy to win. Then if successful, he will continue to fight less than stellar comp until the next big fight happens.

So Sergio, Cotto and Canelo did to GGG what GGG did to Ward. Its not worse when they did it nor is it justifiable when GGG did it. This is how boxing goes on HBO now-build a star by giving him showcase fights and then a big fight.

HBO doesn't want another Donaire situation.

I label it as "garbage" because I am capable of critical thinking. On what planet is the following a "reasonable" offer?

1. give up your canelo mando spot
2. get stripped of the IBF title you just won
3. agree to a 168 weight, which by the time the fight would happen 168 was a weight Ward hadnt made in over 3 years
4. agree to a 50-50 revenue split with a fighter who brings in considerably less revenue
5. bind yourself contractually for the next 12-15 months to a fighter with a history of inactivity due to injuries and legal problems

It's apples and oranges you know as well as everyone else that Ward's offer was **** and Ward was at least as much to blame for the fight not happening as GGG. Ward refused to give an inch. GGG refused to give and inch ... thus fight didn't happen. Neither of them made any great effort to make it happen. But as it was the only time GGG wasn't completely in the right and not being 100% ducked it's all you guys can talk about.

It's a completely different scenario here ... now if GGG was walking around with a 168 belt that was rightfully wards and refusing to fight him then you could say something. But anyway I get it ... GGG is always in the wrong and if he isn't in the wrong (this canelo situation) just talk about something else (Ward) so you can make still make an argument for him being in the wrong.

Im certainly not defending K2's pr effort, as it has been a disaster. I will say one thing though, saying your fighter can beat anyone from 154-168 is one thing, but it doesnt automatically mean that EVERY single fight between 154-168 is suddenly makeable. Not even taking into account that Ward is notoriously difficult to deal with.

But K2's poor PR aside, on its face Wards "offer" was garbage and you know it. You're not some ****** troll who doesnt know any better........

How can he drop the title when the fraud GGG keeps giving step asides to ensure Canelo and Cotto before him don't drop the the title? He gave all of them voluntary defense after defense to avoid them dropping the title. Blame GGG because he could of said no and forced the alphabet org to make a decision and strip them. He thinks by allowing them to keep the title he will have leverage in negotiating terms to fight them. It blew up in his face with Cotto and you see Canelo's camp making it clear. If you just want the title you don't have to drop a single pound or anything else. We will drop it and you can dig it out the trash and keep fighting bums at 160. But if you want to fight Canelo under any circumstances title or not you have to fight him under his terms including weight.
