Did you happen to see the date in your link? It was 2012. GGG din't have any fights. He was happy to fight Ward even year later. But Ward refused. Then situation changed. GGG gained some following, grabbed belts. He is not desperate anymore to accept anybody from other divisions, when he has options in his own division. But his haters continue to shout "But,but,but 154-168". Omission is a form of lie!

If you are not going to go for greatness, then just stay in your lane and stop talking about being an all-time great. Many fighters have moved up in weight to try to be great. Some succeed, others don't. Khan is trying this in his next fight with Canelo, who generally fights smaller fighters moving up in weight. After the Khan fight 9 of Canelo's last 13 opponents would've been smaller fighters moving up in weight, and sometimes moving up two weight classes.

If GGG really wanted to fight Ward, he would do it at 168, since they claim that he is one of the greatest fighters ever, and would fight "anyone" from 154 to 168. Otherwise, just stay at middleweight and fight other middleweights, instead of offering to fight 'some' 168 pounders and not others (Golovkin's team tried to make a fight with Froch and Chavez Jr. at the full 168). If GGG is really knocking out 175 pounders in sparring, then Ward at 168 should not have been more of a problem than Froch or Chavez Jr at 168, So they opened the door to this criticism when they claimed they would fight anyone in 4 different weight classes.



And if Canelo does not want to fight at 160, he should give up his bogus middleweight belt (which was won at a catchweight to begin with) and campaign at 154, since they claim that he is really a 154 pounder (which we all know is bullshyt). The limit for middleweight is 160, and a mandatory does not have to agree on a lower weight.

well truthfully none of us know the true amounts that went back and forth. K2 only said it was "life changing", and BJS said it was $1.5 mil. Who knows? And was it in pounds, euros, or dollars? lol

Bottom line is there has to be a line somewhere. What if Saunders wanted $15 million? Should K2 "just pay it"? There is always a line you cant cross, and in this case we dont know what that line is. Is it $2 million? $3 million? Nobody knows.......
