This is what I like to see from GGG and K2!

Have to push the pressure on Canelo and Oscar, don't let them dictate, for them into a fight don't sit back and "HOPE" they pick you. GGG is already considered "The Better Fighter" by most fans and boxing media so NO he DON'T NEED CANELO! In fact if Canelo don't fight him that is a WIN FOR HIM!

So respect to GGG and K2, keep the pressure on him then eventually the fans, as well as boxing media and the network he fights on will also apply pressure. If Lara kept his mouth close and did not crash Canelo pressure he wouldn't have gotten his fight.

The problem is not Canelo, I'm a Canelo fan I respect the young Warrior, I think if it was up to him Canelo will fight ANYBODY but I think it is Oscar who is protecting him. Oscar admittedly said he did not want the Canelo vs Lara fight and yeah he may have been right because Canelo did not look good in that fight but it was Canelo who stepped up and he don't get enough credit for that regardless if you thought he lost to Lara

No they have said if you want to fight Canelo it will be at our weight. They have NEVER said if you want the belt you have to agree to a catchweight. Nobody including the WBC is forcing a catchweight if GGG wants the title. He can clearly get the title without agreeing to any catchweight. But he refuses to do that because the title means NOTHING to him. So it's about making a super fight with a bigger named fighter and when you do that you need to conceede to the bigger star. Canelo had to do it and agreed to a catchweight to get Floyd to fight him. This is Canelo's weight which is 1 pound heavier then the 154 that you told the world you could make easily to fight Floyd and Manny. Either take the fight or move on and stop taking step asides and get your paper vacant belt. You will find it in the trash.

In other words, Canelo IS saying that he won't defend his title against GGG without a catchweight.

Defending his title means fighting for it, not saying "Ok, you won't fight at my weight. No problem, the belt is yours. What time are you coming round to pick it up?"

The WBC has nothing to do with this they can't strip him when GGG keeps agreeing to voluntary fights to push their fights back. Now if GGG's team grows some balls and says no then the WBC will have a decision of whether to strip Canelo or create some phony way around it. We can sit here and theorize what they will do but the fact is we don't know because GGG never lets it get to that point because here's a secret...you ready? They DON'T WANT HIM TO BE STRIPPED BECAUSE THEN THEY GET A PAPER BELT AND NO FIGHT. They want the fight not the belt and if agreeing to step asides leaves the door open for a potential fight they will keep taking that rather then shutting the door completely and getting another vacant belt that NOBODY cares about except maybe 2 GGG fans.

Nobody here knows exactly what is going on behind the scenes but given that the WBC has a vested interest in Canelo remaining champ because they make more money then it doesn't take any stretch of the imagination to see them getting thrown a back-hander by GB to fob off K2 with fake promises. So Loeffler finally coming out and saying "enough is enough" totally fits in with my supposition above.
