Well if Crawford thinks the fights is worth more to him and think there is more to get out of it then just agreeing to some arbitrary figure is kind of ******.

Let's say you have a painting you know nothing about it, but someone offers you 50 grand for it right there, do you accept it because 50 grand is a lot of money for something you don't really need or do you actually try and get the real value knowing that it will take some work and there is risk involved.

A bad sign for Arum though because Crawford is a guy that questions his value, he deals better with guys that accept what he gives them. A few hundred grand shouldn't make or break this fight.

Exactly! One good/solid win against a guy he was much bigger than. Now he's complaining about money...

              This is the truth ^^

Fighters get overpaid for fighting mediocre opposition these days.

Arum, Haymon they all do it.

how is it arbitrary? usually purses are based on how much money a fighter can generate unless their name is andre ward. crawford is a guy with a solid fanbase and solid draw in omaha and nothing more. this fight apparentyl won't even be in omaha so what does he expect? money to come from nowhere? doesn't work that way unless you sign with roc nation and they are willing to lose money. he should try to get out of his top rank contract if he wants someone to subsidize losses on his ass.

According to Bob Arum, would you just trust Bob Arum to give you a fair number or would you think there is more meat on the bone that Arum is keeping for himself beyond what he is rightfully due.

You seem to question a lot of things in boxing, I would find it odd you would just trust someone with something like that if it applied to you.
