I respect Floyd as a fighter, and would give him a fair shake against many of the greats, but if he had trouble with Castillo, Duran would have MURDERED him.

Thats no knock on Floyd though, Duran is the only modern fighter that is consistently listed amongst the top 5 p4p of all time.

Hearns is the only 1 of the 3 who I think would have likely beaten Mayweather. Just because of styles. Maybe Leonard as well, not sure, that is nearly impossible to call. I don't count Hagler.

Duran is an all time great. He was really killing everyone until he stepped in the ring with some real brothers and Ricans and we all know what happened. Whats funny is Duran record between those fighters you mentioned is 1-5.

Duran was one of the greatest fighters that ever lived but I don't know why people act like he can't be outboxed, he clearly CAN be outboxed.

Mayweather has tools that would trouble Duran, but then Duran has tools that would trouble Mayweather. That's why it would be a great fight and that fight would have one of the most ridiculously high levels of skills on show from both men.

All those fights come with an astrix, where Duran showed up out of shape, especially for the laing fight. He also Avenged the Dejesus loss twice.

Consider the fight with benitez was at 154, as was the fight with hearns, and he took Hagler to the brink at 160.

Nobody pickps Floyd in fantasy fights, simoply for the reason Floyd was always cautious and didn't take risks and push himself.

Floyd's idea of a challenge was fighting past prime PAC 5 years too late coming off koloss. Or cw green nelo, or fighting past prime names like dlh our SSM.
He's not given anyone a reason to fsavour him. Floyd should fight GGG, everyone expects GGG to destroy Floyd, but Floyd has other ideas and Floyd does better than expected. That's what Floyd needs to do for people to believe in him.
