Also wtf with HBO throwing so much on PPV. HBO Boxing's demise might be closer than I think. The UFC's deal with Fox ends in 2018. I suspect HBO will flip to MMA sooner or later. If this exodus to HBO PPV continues I wouldn't be surprised if HBO get involved in the bidding for UFC when that deal is up. Probably smart of Lampley to call his show Fight Game & not something with boxing in the title.
By 2018, UFC will have its own network. UFC is way bigger than HBO.

Throw in a good undercard and I'll happily pay about 50 bucks.

        Won't pay 70 thought.

Word is Arum taking fights to Showtime is just about a done deal. Crawford on a low rent PPV could expedite that.

They already got UFC Fight Pass or whatever its called. That doesn't make HBO money bad. I'm confident the UFC will be getting TV money for years to come well beyond 2018 & would gladly take HBO's money if offered & if it makes sense.

There is a discussion to be had by UFC heads if going to a niche market like HBO makes sense to them I imagine. The UFC has largely grown off of free TV with monthly PPV's. Adding a premium cable tier might not be something they are looking to do. The reality is HBO & the UFC have talked before & I believe they will talk again as the allure of boxing dwindles with younger people & the appeal of MMA with younger people increases.

And lol at UFC being bigger than HBO. Last I heard the UFC was worth about 4B & HBO about 5x-20x that.

That's the only PPVish type fight, and it would still have to be 25 bucks to get decent fights.
