GGG and respectful action for the fight.

    Simple question

Would you respect GGG more if he

    1) agrees to fight Canelo and gives into the weight demands of 155 and any other demands that Canelo might have (fight in texas or whatever is necessary)

    or

    2) if he does everything in his power to strip Canelo and forgoes the biggest payday of his career?

    or

    3) try to negotiate on the demands and meet half way (i.e. 158 lbs), sacrifice some to get the fight made but if it doesn't work then do everything in the power to Strip Canelo

This is not a question of win or lose, its a simple question of which action would you respect more.

Personally, i think i would respect option 3, sacrifice a little bit to make the fight work and meet half way, my least favorite option and i think one i would respect least if he gives in to all the demands, he might not be setting a precedent but this weight issue has been a hot issue for this fight and will be used for future examples of other fights. Anyways what you guys think

Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice.

What does GGG want, his fans say the belt only? If he wants the belt, then try to get Canelo stripped and call it a day.

Does he really want the big name, big lights, "big show", big money, Mexican style? Then make the sacrifice. If the belt is all he wants, he can have the belt maybe through court or something. It won't mean much for his career, but if that's all he wants, there's 4 major belts, they are not hard to get. If he wants all 4 he can have all 4 maybe, but the names he beat for them won't matter.

so at what point would you consider the sacrifice to big? and also at what point would you consider the sacrifice as whoring yourself for a big pay day.

reason i say that is some fighters make sacrifices for a payday, not for greatness.

The best possible decision for GGG, he should try to meet in the middle some where (157-159), but 155 seems like a lot to drop for the champ.
He is no spring chicken, he had 400 am. fights and it close to mid 30's.
        Remember the Chad Dawson fight?
I doubt that GGG would safety make weight at 155, Oscar knows what is like to be weight drained, shame on him for backing Canelo in that regard.

If GGG waits out Canelo (till he can't make 154), he would be older, but rather have a older version fight him vs weight drained.
What is Canelo gets beat again before they fight? It could happen, Canelo isn't the greatest fighter ever (or close).

Look, some of you act like negotiations are not necessary, fact is, if the fight will happen, both sides have to give and take. GGG will probably have to give a little more and I'm sure a weight concession up to 158 or 157 is something Canelo would work for. With the added purse split in favour of Canelo, I don't see why GBP should turn down such a weight offer.

I personally am totally against it and if Canelo can't fight at mw, he needs to move teh **** down .

If 155 is the only way, just strip Canelo. I'm sick of these shtty fights where afterwards I'm not gonna give the guys credits for the win anyway.

I'd respect him most if he just tells canelo to get ****ed

Canelo is a career catchweight 155 lber fighting a fragile 140 lber while

Everyone should just sign a pact that nobody fights him until he stops being such a *****

after that it's all good, he's not a bad kid

he's like your friend going through some weird depresseed stage after a girl dumps him, you all just need to band together and snap him out of ***** mode

Does OP post about anything other than GGG?

I voted for 2, call me crazy but I'd love the linear MW title to be fought at the MW limit of 160 pounds.

Can you imagine guys like James Toney or Hopkins trying to pull the stuff that Canelo is?

Option 1 gets the most respect. Shame the devil and go in guns blazing:
