Every single time UFC has a big event coming up they mention Floyd. UFC is piggy backing of the success of a main stream celebrity.

Everyone talks about how UFC is going to overtake Boxing, well if that's the case then why the hell do they keep talking about a retired boxer at every event? it's embarrassing.

This boils down to people not respecting what boxers go through. You're able to acknowledge the harm a MMA fighter will suffer but you have no respect for the damage a fighter will take when he has zero left in him.

It's how I know a lot of chumps on this site aren't fans of the sport.

SMH and I just looked it up he QUIT AGAIN in 2010 on the undercard of a female mma fight lol. Was he 19 then also Lmaoooo. I guess I'm reaching because I am stating FACTS. You acting like he is your hero, on here lying and making excuses for him. "he was only 19" so I guess it doesn't count because "he was only 19" lol what a loser. Why don't you tattoo his name while you're at. quitting in boxing is whack but quitting in UFC is OK. Lmao you tried it. Why don't you go wave your UFC pom poms elsewhere, it's clear as day that you are a fanboy

I'm not a big MMA fan. I hardly ever watch it, but I've had some grappling lessons and sparring with MMA fighters who train at the same gym as me and also at an MMA gym, just for self defence purposes and because I was curious about how effective the moves are.

One thing I learned straight away is that tapping out in MMA is not the same as quitting in boxing. MMA fighters tap out all the time while training. That's how you let your training partner know he's got the move he was going for and it's working.

If you went into MMA with the attitude that tapping out = quitting, and I'm never gonna quit, you wouldn't even be able to learn the basics of it.

That would be like a novice boxer saying he doesn't want to learn how to slip a jab, because only pussies worry about getting hit!

MMA fighters take that same attitude into fights. The attitude that knowing when to tough it out and when to tap out is a fundamental part of what they do, unless they want to end up getting maimed or crippled.

I'm saying you're a hater cuz you're obviously mad that Conor is where he's at today and trying to diminish his status cuz he quit in match in 2010. It's 2016, he's been knocking **** ever since. All you wanna say is that he has two loses though. You sound like a lame bro. You trying to act as if the loses have anything to do with the man you see today. Totally different animal. It's like pacquiao when he lost 2-3 before he went on his tear. Its like me saying Floyd isn't a PPV draw cuz he did 325k vs Baldomir a bunch of years ago. That's dumb.
Floyd wasn't that far from Gatti or Judah bouts... or us comparing PPV's against Tyson PPV's. Funny though Baldomir was 34 and Floyd was 29, and then 8 years later the ages are turned and still held it down with a more brawling Argentinian. Baldomir was a seasoned 147, Chino moved up.

What does that have to with Conor? nothing! 19 years in the fight game... and some new kid on the block encouraged by UFC marketing teams to call out Floyd's name...no different than Rousey. same old tune. Conor needs Floyd to boost his ego. sad
