GGG is not a coward whistle balls, Ward is a big sm and GGG well hell even Canelo is bigger mw. Ward last fight was at 172 so he was going north so it would have been a big jump plus ward wasn't hanging around at sm.

No doubt Kov will be a heavy favorite.

Ward will have to reveal entire new dimensions in this battle. Froch and Dawson were child's play. This year, we may see the greatest Ward ever. Adonis has no chance. Ward is the only man who can upset 175 right now.

Rather humorous that Ward has been so inactive that the only pic they could find of him was a posed gym picture.

For once I agree with the Roach. Skill smill, knockout power Ward would be shown by the Krusher

Slightly leaning here too chief. Maybe favoring Kov ever so slightly. I see it similar to Taylor-Pavlik 1, albeit both fighters being a level down from their counterparts. Taylor ended up being an 8-5 favorite but just couldn't handle the power of Pavlik. Kov's power and chin are superior and with Ward's long layoff, they're likely to play a big factor. Lets see what Barrera provides.

Better watch UFC - boxing is a bit over your head guys.

Ward IS a very good, skilled, safety first boxer who relies on ref/home town advantage to win on points.
I do agree that Ward is the best opponent that Kovalev ever had. Problem is that Kovalev is the most dangerous opponent in Wards career - by far.

Problem with Kova is not his power. Ward will have problems with Kovalevs legs - mark my words. Kovalev is very fluid on his legs, mantaining his distance. But worst of it (for Ward) is the fact that he puts combinations together while moving. Each and every punch in this combinations will damage Ward. In his last fight Kovalev showed a new facet of his style that made fight completely onesided - in earlier rounds he cought Pascal coming in. Twice. After that Pascal stopped with his usual attacking bursts. Ward is no Pascal and that is granted. But Ward is lesser than Pascal in one parameter - durability. There's high probability that Kovalev will connect with jabs to the body and straight right hands to mid section. Not a lethal thing if one fighter is avarage and another is durable. In this situation it will be the case of accumulating damage - how much damage can Ward tolerate?
I will give it 60-40 in favor of Kovalev but as many said I'm yet to see what version of Ward we have now. Barrera fight might answer some questions but this fight is not done yet.
