how can canelo vs Khan be bigger than canelo-cotto fight those two are known in the us because of there heritage and geography....I don't ink Khan is well known in the states so that must make it lower surely.....it would make over a million if the uk PPV numbers were included ( 400k uk ) because it would sell over here and if Joshua got that number in his last fight I'm sure Khan would get that with this impossible task....but they don't add uk numbers so all they will rely on is the states....ill be surprised if it does over 700 k

Canelo fought kirkland and that fight filled a baseball stadium and drew 2.2 mil viewers the most in a decade on HBO then followed that up with the biggest win of his career and is now headlining his first ppv on a Mexican holiday. He could fight ANYONE right now and do more then 350k buys. You are seriously underestimating the Mexican fanbase.

I don't care what you bought the avg ticket price sold was $90. That's a fact. They had a few cheap seats but most tickets sold were way more expensive the live gate amount proves this. Filling a baseball stadium at $90 per ticket is impressive no matter how you try and frame it especially against Kirkland in a stay busy fight.

It's not about cotto vs khan. It's a Nov ppv vs a mexican fighting on mexican holiday ppv. If canelo fought cotto in may/sept fight does probably 400k more ppvs then it did last year.

The date alone will not be enough to make this fight sell more Canelo/Cotto.
