The reason why Golovkin is not fighting Haymon fighters

People on this site are crying about Golovkin not fighting Haymon fighters a lot. They are asking Loeffler to make public offers and so on. Let’s use some logic here. Loeffler is not starting any publicity stunts, because he’s gentle, professional and smart. He has a good relationship with Al Haymon. Of course, he’s one of the persons who really know, if Haymon fighters like Lara, Jacobs, or whoever, are available to fight on HBO or not. Do some of you guys really think Loeffler has never discussed this subject with Haymon yet? You never know what’s going on behind the scenes, but people should stop acting like Loeffler or Haymon don’t know each other, never talk to each other, or don’t know their agendas. Loeffler never makes clear statements when it comes to Haymon fighters. Of course, he doesn’t want to be the first person to go on record saying Haymon fighters can’t fight on HBO or anything. He damn sure is not going to cut any personal ties with Haymon or HBO, because some hardcore fans on the internet want him to do unreasonable things. He’s too much professional for that. If the Canelo fight doesn’t come off this year, don’t be surprised seeing Golovkin sign with Showtime…

I think you probably correct about what's been going between Loeffler and Haymon.

Loeffler isn't like Duva, Oscar, or Warren and Hearn in the UK, who talk more trash via social media than any of the fighters they promote.

Loeffler seems to be a man who likes to work quietly, behind the scenes. He's more of a business man than a mouthpiece for K2.

I can't believe he hasn't been talking with Haymon, or people close to Haymon, over Jacobs, Lara, etc. Eventually, I'm sure, we'll find out what's been going on.

IF Haymon has vetoed any his boxers fighting Golovkin, Loeffler is not the kind of guy who would come out and so publically, because he wouldn't want to burn his bridges and possibly jeapardise future dealings with Haymon.

OK, it's quite trivial why GGG doesn't get Haymon fighters.
But why Beterbiev (who is a Haymon fighter) doesn't get fights?

Haymon has a certain amount of TV spots as well as a certain budget he can "burn" per year. I think he has just signed to many fighters and he can't serve all of them with fights. I'm quite sure he's pretty unsatisfied how his whole takeover plan is moving forward.

Loeffler can't speak on behalf of HBO or even represent it to their belief system even though he represents Golovkin.

From Haymon's point of view, exposure is for the fighters themselves and ratings the networks respect and continue with.

GGG's on HBO, the supposed defacto network for boxing, and GGG even has Apple behind his back because Apple and HBO signed a nice deal in 2015 for their Apple TV platform, so of course there's some bias. How does he compete with that with regards to providing for his fighters? The simple answer is public television. As boxing hits the mainstream this way and ratings continue to do well, that's when more sponsors and endorsements come into boxing.

Haymon's not on GGG's agenda. Whatever deals are being made between an HBO fighter and a PBC fighter requires an extensive and well written article by a BWAA affiliate, if one dares to, regardless if the BWAA is secretly on an HBO payroll because of Hauser's affiliation.

It's a very political subject, and because of that nature, you either have to choose one side, whichever network YOU feel is best for boxing.

At this point, the boxing fan has no choice but to watch PBC out of curiousity and I can honestly say that the programming is becoming consistent. How can we not like it? Our focus is on the battle itself. The Figueroa Jr. vs DeMarco was a great bout even up to watching Mansour vs Breazeale. As long as they are slug fests the average old school boxing fan just tuning in are going to respect it because it's slam boxing and they don't follow it like more hardcore boxing fans complaining about networks and which shoes to wear.

Thinking about this further, if I was managing or advising Daniel Jacobs, I would be telling him hold to back from pushing for his mandatory shot at the WBA super title till after the issue is settled between GGG and Canelo.

By waiting till after Sept, Jacobs is guaranteed a shot at 3 world title belts, and also the Ring lineal title, if the fight goes ahead, rather just the WBA super belt alone. And that would be a bigger and more lucrative fight than Jacobs vs GGG would be right now. The same advice would also apply to Lara, of course.

Apparently, the IBF has just ordered Golovkin to fight Dominic Wade who is a Haymon fighter.

haymon wants to keep his fighters on the pbc networks since he needs to fill up all the air time that he bought. jacobs could end up fighting wade. cotto vs saunders ggg vs korobov once wade accepts the jacobs match. kid choco vs mora will happen as well. close sources have confirmed

It is not Tom Loeffler or Al Haymon, it is likely HBO and Peter Nelson who are keeping fights from happening because they see Haymon and PBC as competition. Why would HBO allow them to go fight on PBC? Wouldn't that defeat the Purpose of signing them to HBO Exclusively? The problem with these Exclusive Network Deals is that I think it is hurting guys like GGG and Kovalev more than it is helping. You honestly think Duva and Kovalev wouldn't want for the Stevenson fight to go to Purse Bid and run the price up and get paid more money than Kovalev ever will in his career similar to the Glaskov vs Martin situation

This video is PROOF that it is not Tom Loeffler and Al Haymon who are keeping fights from happening:
