Real fans who understood the technicality of the fight never though Pac would shut Floyd down, we thought he'd give him trouble..and, well, he did. Size and timing are legitimate causes for the loss, Pac just hasn't been the same since the JMM ko, you can't deny that.

Both men are well past their primes, however, styles age differently and in that respect Pac is much further out of his prime, particularly after JMM IV.

End of the day, in my experience, non-boxing fans are pretty well split on who "won" that fight and they actually hold merit to Pac's injury so there may be continued interest in a rematch with them. To me, I saw Floyd use his huge reach advantage and realized that would always be the biggest influence in their fights. Just a reminder that they should be fighting in different weight classes.

I don't agree with everything you said but its a fair opinion so its not something I'd argue aside from the part about non boxing fans being split on who actually won the fight.
Its just my opinion but I find most people who aren't boxing fans and don't watch regularly are just favoring a fighter for one reason or another and not actually fans of either fighter. They tune in for big fights at parties and drink and talk instead of watching the fight so its hard to take opinions like that seriously when the fights over.
I know I'm lumping a lot of people into one group but I'm just speaking from my own experiences watching fights in big groups, after the fight people start arguing over what happened and I'm sitting there thinking half of you people arguing weren't even paying attention to the fight.
