Let him prove himself. No one is interested in watching him fight.

Jacobs on the other hand would be welcome with open arms on HBO.
    I think so as well.

Lara hasn't even fought at 160 yet and he'd get walked down anyway. I'm not all that interested in watching that fight.

The Jacobs fight should happen though and I'm hoping something can be done.

Jacobs is welcomed because the rap on him is he's chinny.

          No you simpleton.
He would be welcomed with open arms because he's an exciting come forward fighter, which is what most fans want to see.
Lara had his chance on HBO and on Showtime. F**** up both times.

Not really hard to understand, so I don't know why you overcomplicate things.

HBO doesn't give a flying **** about how exciting a fight will be. Real fans would like to see how GGG responds to a slick, defensive, southpaw. GGG fans want Jacobs to protect him from Lara that's why they say Lara should fight Jacobs. Just like they said Ward should fight Kovalev. All real boxing fans know Lara is a highly skilled boxer, the likes GGG has never faced before. And it would be a common opponent between GGG & Canelo. He'd also be the best fighter GGG has ever faced, he's better than Jacobs. But anytime there's a perceived threat to GGG his protection force surrounds him and makes excuses as to why he shouldn't fight a good fighter. If he was willing to give Saunders $3 mil for a belt he can surely give Lara the $1 mil he was asking for.

He would be. He was once a promising HBO star. Has a great story, and has a fan friendly style.

Jacobs definitely has a fan friendly style, comes to fight, looks for the KO, has power in both hands with 11 or so consecutive KO's, has speed and foot movement as well. Very respectful in and outside the ring.

What's there not to like about Jacobs or the potential fight?

                  Are you serious?
HBO wants eyeballs on the TV. Exciting fighter would do that.

What HBO doesn't give a damn about are these so called real fans you quote here. They don't provide the ratings HBO needs.

As far as your boy Lara no one denies he's talented. The problem is he is boring. Professional boxing is about $$ and that $$ depends on how many arses you can put in seats and eyeballs in TV. Lara does none.
And again HBO has given Lara plenty of opportunities. Showtime gave him a huge opportunity on a PPV. He f*** up both opportunities.

Jacobs would be welcomed not because he's an easy touch for GGG; (I happen to believe he's a tough match) but because he brings in more fans, more fan friendly style and he fought with HBO before. He was once one of their rising young talents.

To be fair, Lara had his shot and blew it. He talked a big game to get the Canelo fight and once he got it, he literally ran his a$$ off.

Exactly. Interrupted the man's press conference, whined and complained his way to a PPV fight. Right after the weigh in said he was going to break Canelo's face and what does he do on fight night? He blows it. Outboxes Canelo the first 2 rounds and the second he feels Nelo's power shots, he has flashbacks of what Angulo did to him and he proceeds to run a 5K.
