Things are getting worse. Crawford and Postol are supposed to be fighting. They both want huge money. HBO can't afford it. Haymon probably does if both are signed to him. But who are we kidding? Haymon would feed them with long lines of bums.
Why don't you bring up Lara also took 1 million to fight Canelo on PPV.

The guy risked his life leaving Cuba on a boat, left his family behind Is one of the best in his div I'm all for him getting his $.

That's why fights between top fighters are getting difficult to make nowadays. Who would be idiotic enough to invest huge money where profit is virtually non existent?

Doesn't bother me either. Has anyone heard Holyfield speak lately? How about Tommy Hearns? How is the relationship between Tyson and Don King doing? What's the name of Will Smith's new movie? Is that movie irrelevant to the sport of boxing? I think not!

its true these guys get so much they only have to fight once a year-how is that any good for the sport? once they are at a certain level, they dont need the money and dwindle there careers off into nothingness-khan,cotto, mikey garcia, danny garcia etc

And I don't really have a problem with that. The problem is that these fake a$$ fans will not call out Arum when he does it, but if Haymon does it, they talk mad ****! DOUBLE STANDARD!!!

Cotto is a big boy at the end of his career so he can fight once a year but he doesnt

Danny Garcia is on his 3rd fight in less than a year

Mikey is trying to get a fight but Arum is benching him for not wanting to sign an extension

Khan i haveno idea what hes doing

Speaking of movies i was watching Mars Attacks the other day and Browns boxer chracter is talking to Jacks character and Jacks says " i made alot of money on your last fight" and browns character answers "im glad someone did"

And thats just a movie with made up characters but it shows how well known it is that boxers dont get paid much.

And many times you hear old boxers talking about how they were ripped off by promoters or managers or whatever and its sad. Pac is the most recent high profile example. And yes i think they should learn to manage better but they are getting punched so i think they deserve to paid well. How well? thats not up to me to decide

Crawford can b a major force soon & I lije him but IMO, til he fights an elite bout he's not getting the $$, regardless of what's being said he's getting...take out city, state & fed taxes alone he' down 40% b4 he's in the ring...+ sanctionibg fees & obligatory fee 2 HBO, u figure out what he's left with....NYC/Bklyn are the worst places 2 fight , financially...
