Comments Thread For: Arum Admits Pacquiao-Bradley 3 Will Be a Tough Sell

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum realizes that tough road ahead in promoting the HBO Pay-Per-View trilogy bout between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.

The first fight, in 2012, generated 890,000 pay-per-view buys. Bradley won that bout with a controversial twelve round split decision. The 2014 rematch generated a lower buyrate which came in around 800,000. The rematch was won by Pacquiao with a twelve round unanimous decision.

    Yes it is Bob.

You're a used car salesman selling a beat up jalopy.

This exemplifies what is bad in boxing. Smh

Manny clearly won both their previous fights. In one he got robbed, in the other he did almost exactly the same as in the 1st, and didn't get robbed. What's the point of a third meeting? Just because Rios came in the worst shape ever, with zero conditioning and got knocked out more because he couldn't breath than because Bradley suddenly became powerful, doesn't mean Manny won't beat up Bradley once again.

IMO a fight vs. Broner would have been way more interesting.

I would much rather see Pac - Marquez V than Pac - Bradley III. At least the Marquez fights were wars and competitive fights, the bradley fights were pretty lame.

I actually like Pac / Bradley and will be watching. But this probably won't do good numbers.

But I'm sure Arum worked the #s and figures he'll make more $ to have 2 in house fighters then he would with Khan and the trilogy probably outsells Crawford who outside of hardcore fans and Nebraska is just viewed as a black guy.
