Povetkin shouldn't be written off, but given the way they fight and their respective strengths and weaknesses I'd have to give the nod towards Ortiz if the two ever clash in the near future.

Wlad still beats anyone not named Fury until proven otherwise.
    I agree with that.

Now, in terms of Ortiz, even for me, he's jumped from being a fighter I liked watching to someone who is a legit top 10 hw, which is fine because the top 10 is pretty weak but I would never have thought of Jennings as a top 5 and definitely not Ortiz, especially with names like Wlad, Fury, Pov, Pulev, Wilder, even Chag and a couple others. I think the top 3-4 is quite solid, and then there's Wilder, mainly cos of his wbc strap, making him a leading contender to the true title.

All I want though, from the division and it's something that should already be happening, is for all the top guys to fight each other. A decrease in quality could mean some very fun fights.

Exactly. What use is a brace of talented fighters in a division if they won't fight each other? That's been the pattern for too long now. If the right guys match up we could be in for exciting times again.

The only problem for Ortiz is Fury, but Fury doesn't hit as hard soooo I got Ortiz by KO

        1. Fury
        2. Wlad
        3. Wilder
        4. Ortiz
        5. Povetkin

Curious statement. Fury didn't hit as hard as Wlad either.

              Nobody beats King Fury.

I'd fancy Ortiz against anyone not named Fury or Klitschko.

                Wlad
                Ortiz
                Povetkin
                Parker
                Joshua
                Jennings
                Wilder
                Pulev
                Chisora

Could easily substitute Takam, Stiverne or Scott for any of the lower tier guys.

                Accomplishment-wise I've got it:

                Fury
                Wlad
                Povetkin
                Wilder
                Pulev
                Ortiz
                Jennings
                Glazkov
                Stiverne
                Teper

That's an extremely misrepresentative list though, since Joshua and Parker tear through at least half of those right now. Glazkov shouldn't be anywhere near a top ten list given some of the decisions he's got in his career.

Jennings is a small heavyweight and would get taken out very easy by Joshua ....so there's no different in that.....size for size its competitive and Ortiz is also unproven....joshua has the ability to beat any heavyweight in he world....yes he is still learning for sure but I guarantee you now he will hold his own with any heavyweight in the division.....Ortiz has also not faced a fighter of Joshua size and power.....as I said I see a special talent in Joshua and I'm willing to wager n it....

Yep, hopefully with Wlad slowly receding from the picture, we'll see less people queuing up for the big european pay day and actually fighting each other.

I think Povetkin and possibly Wilder, if he uses his height advantage, both beat Ortiz. I'd like to see Ortiz v Chagaev and gauge where both men are at this stage in their careers. A lot of people forgetting Ortiz is old.

Do you think, as things stand now, that AJ can beat Ortiz or Jennings or Povetkin?
