What sense does it make for Jacobs to call out GGG when he knows HBO won't allow the fight to happen?

Jacobs is GGG's mandatory and will be enforcing his mandatory position. HBO won't allow the fight to happen, so GGG will be stripped.

Well they need to make the fight happen, they would look like hypocrites otherwise. They have been criticising fighter in the past for not giving in their demands to make a fight happen, so they too need to take a leaf from their book and work with other fighter from other places.

HBO blocked Kovalev-Stevenson, yet every day people here whine and moan, absolutely convinced that Stevenson ducked the fight.

Whatever storyline HBO comes up with is the storyline the fans will buy hook line and sinker.

Well thats pretty sad then, i remember how they (HBO) Lampley and merchant for example , they accuse fighters of ducking, they would ask fighters to compromise their demands or belief.

But here we have HBO doing the exact same thing, preventing fights from happening, not willing to do business with certain promoters etc.

That makes them look like pure morons. And if the fans are willing to accept this then i dont know what to say.

I just cant recall as much pure vitriol for a fighter in a long time. Even the Floyd haters had to acknowledge Floyd's insane talent, even if they didnt like his style or personality. (im definitely in the "floyd is a douche" club)

And maybe I am over the top a bit with GGG, but there is just something special about this guy. I cant remember the last time i've seen a fighter so thoroughly dominate every single opponent put in front of him. His fights arent even close. You dont see him struggle with B or C level guys, like Garcia did with Herrera, or Thurman with Collazo, etc. He simply annihilates them. Would I like to see him against A-list opposition? Sure. But I know it isnt up to him, and all he can do is to blast out whoever "they" put in front of him.

Even though I dont consider Canelo to be "elite", he's definitely A-list, so hopefully that fight gets made and can answer some questions......
