Algieri is a blast of fresh air for the polluted American boxing septic system.
And in time just like every septic system it will be cleaned out. Everything goes through a slump. Where will you be when America rises back up?

For real? Lol.. why do you think they went to the trouble of making a catchweight if that 2 pounds doesn't make a difference... They knew Canelo hadn't been that low in weight for years. He would have had to spend much more time in camp making and maintaining weight and as a result he had lower punch resistance, lower output, slower movement, slower punch speed. He was a different fighter, compromised in many key areas.

The guy was a zombie in there, we all saw it. Are you saying that was the same Canelo? lol.. Did you even watch that fight?

On the flip flip side, one could say this thread has zero to do with Floyd, and Pac looked like a beast until drug testing became an issue

Still living in Malibu and enjoying early retirement basking in the California sunshine and enjoying life as I do today. Vacationing in Park City Utah in my winter home as usual and watching boxing.

But in the eyes of a fan of Floyd it was a great win. He beat a man hat wasnt all there and had an injury. Manny would would have given him a rematch for the sake of the fans. Floyd chooses to take his lucky win knowing that he was hurt and doesn't want take a chance with him being 100%. Sort of like Bradley...The entire world saw Manny win the fight. But he took the win and claimed he won fair and square. Although the world seen him lose. But props to Bradley for trying to settle the score. Rematching Manny was noble and says a lot on Bradley being a great champion.

Its indeed a shame that Floyd didn't get to fight Pacquiao at 100% I can understand why Manny didn't want to call it off for a delay and that's simply because May and September are the only dates Floyd Mayweather works with the two Mexican holidays (odd but sure, Mexicans love boxing).
I would like to see a rematch that has no injury involved just to see if Floyd could beat the man but as things stand it was a very competitive fight even with an injury.

Only thing with Manny I admit I'm a bit gutted on is the rematch with Bradley, I think that was Arums choice it was either Terence of Bradley and simply because they're both Top Rank contracted fighters, I wanted to see Pacquiao go out on a high note try and beat Amir Khan and IF he did that what a huge finishing note for his career.
Regardless all of what is said Manny Pacquiao is an all time great legend of the sport and has earned his right to retirement we will all miss him.

Khan is also the bigger money fight. It's got to be Khan.
