Comments Thread For: Algieri: Khan is a Tough Task for Pacquiao Post Surgery

New York, NY - Former world champion Chris Algieri linked up with trainer John David Jackson after he was shut out versus Manny Pacquiao at the tail-end of 2014. The result was a valiant effort against Amir Khan this past May, when the New York native lost a twelve round decision. Now Algieri returns against Erick Bone this Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on the undercard of the middleweight showdown between Danny Jacobs and Peter Quillin.

LOL on Algieri saying that Pacquiao was more hungry against him. I think it was Mayweather that caused the problem.
Algieri looked much better in against Khan, that is because he didn't get dropped 6 times.
He was on the front foot which Khan did not like.
Khan is an enigma, speedy is crazy but is too easy to hit and switches off.

I agree with Algieri its obvious there wasn't something right with Pacquiao the shoulder certainly wasn't a lie and punch stats prove that also the fact he took a long lay off and had work on it - Floyd beat a Pacquiao at 40% its still a good win but its not what the fans wanted, the fans wanted Floyd to prove himself but he never did.

Khan is just too fast and hungry for the older fighters. He can make his name by knocking Brook over the moon but Pac isn't gonna fight him and Pedcheater Jr never was going to

The media fooled us into thinking it was a megafight then pac got injured and couldn't pull out because it was too mega to cancel. But I agree it would have ****** either way. Pacquaio hasn't looked quite the same since being KTFO and all Floyd fights are boring anyway.

Hell the same pac that fought Mayweather will still win. If he can time a guy on ped's then he can time an overated fighter.

So there we have it. Algieri admits that Khan is the better fighter than Pacquiao and he's fought them both so who better to judge. Same way Maidana said Khan is better than Floyd in the Argentinian news last year.

Khan will send Pacquiao into retirement, the same way he sent Floyd into retirement, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point, I think the rationalists among us can agree unreservedly.
