On multiple occasions '2014 Fighter of the Year' Terence Crawford (27-0, 19KOs) has had his name mentioned as one of the rising stars in the sport. When his name was mentioned alongside that of Canelo Alvarez, he said that they will both continue to rise as they put on exciting performances.

i like him but i hope he fights a good fighter if he doesn't get #48....i don't want him to have a "ggg" type career where he is feasting on bums and avoiding legit competition....i hope he does what ggg isn't willing to do and dares to be great.

agreed now if u could just fight some meaningful fights. all these new faces of boxing hbo has are fighting a bunch of over matched pointless fights. some mando's but others are not. Crawfords best win was against a guy coming up multiple weight classes that he was huge compared to.

im a crawford fan im just tired of hbo not puttin ggg, crawford, lomo, krusher all of them in with legit competition. If crawford gets the pac fight it makes sense but overall hbo is trying to spread the p4p agenda to get all their fighters on the list without them actually having to fight anybody. enough is enough

I don't know if this is just pathetic or hilarious. How the hell did GGG make it to a thread about Crawford?

You're certainly going to poop your pants once you see what he does to Pacquiao.

I think Crawford has a lot of potential. IMO his next fight will determine it.

Conventional wisdom says fight Manny, beat him, and then maybe position himself for a Floyd fight. You can't say no to this.

I hope he does it differently. I'd like to see him take on Postol and establish a new lineage at JWW. Then I'd like to see him beat the other 140lb champs.

Would love to see him and Broner in late 2016 in a JWW unification fight. Broner would sell the hell out of that fight. I'd pick Crawford to win. Then Crawford can go to WW should he win.

Pac shouldnt face either Craqford or Bradley, im not saying theyre bad fights just theres no reason for a Bradley3 and Id like to see Craqford take on other contenders, pave his own path...I want to see Pac against somebody who is established themselves(not Khanjob) and if Bobs not gonna make the fight Pac wants he should tell to eff off and retire, the MFer made enough money off of him

Is this guy for real....even Khan would make him look like a joke, coming down to 144 to fight him.

                    Reasoning.
-He Cannot afford to turn Southpaw against Khan (Khan has never lost a round fighting a Southpaw
                    -He has OK punching power
-He won't be able to establish the jab, as Khan's is faster and he has a longer reach. Also Crawfords jab is quite inaccurate, looking at his punchstats from previous fights.
-Crawford doesn't apply the pressure, and is pretty much a safety first fighter.

                    Crawford does nothing really well
