Is it true that Canelo was 175 pounds in the ring?
Neither of them weighed in on the night so I don't know where that 175 rumour came from.

Canelo didn't beat Cotto with size, he beat him with skill.

I said it before the fight, that if Canelo wins, they won't give him the respect he's due.

"Cotto is old, done, undersized" etc....

IMO the speed difference was apparent. He was quicker, faster reflexes and really moved his head well. His defense is much better than people really want to admit.

The hate for Canelo is strange, I don't get it. I run into a ton of people that really HATE the guy...lol Maybe because I live in South Florida and there's tons of Mexican haters out here.

Now the same people rooting against Canelo, are newly found GGG fans.

Geale weighed in around over 180 vs cotto and he mopped the floor with him and so did ggg... Your point?
Geale is not on Cotto's level. Canelo is first of all a very good fighter who also happens to be much bigger and stronger. The fact that he was much bigger was a major part why Canelo won. I think it's funny that some people wanted to see Cotto fight GGG. Same thing in that match-up. Skills and size something Cotto won't overcome.

....and once again people need to stop saying Cotto is an improved fighter. I've been hearing fans say this version of Cotto would beat Floyd and blablabla. Where do people get this nonsense from?

So in one paragraph you say the reason Canelo won is because of size. Then when Geale and Martinez get brought you have to rethink your ******ity and realize you have to admit Canelo is pretty good....lol

Ah man, BS is a fun place after a big fight.

I agree with this. Canelo clearly had the weigh advantage, but he didn't utilize it like he could've. He outboxed and outpunched Cotto

If Canelo fights and beats GGG, he will basically rule boxing and be P4P top3 or even #1 at a very young age. He is a legend in the making.
