Vargas is a punk. He turned down an HBO fight in December to fight Sadam Ali for the WBO interim title, which would make him the mando for Tim. Now he's just begging for a freebie instead.
The more interesting plans revolve around Dec. 19, which is now Golden Boy’s date on “Boxing After Dark.” When Golden Boy’s plans to put on a fight between junior middleweight brawlers James Kirkland and Gabriel Rosado fell apart -- after Kirkland agreed, then came back asking for more money -- Golden Boy and Top Rank began discussing an compelling fight between welterweight contenders Sadam Ali and Jessie Vargas.
According to Golden Boy, the fight would have been for a vacant interim title, allowing titleholder Timothy Bradley Jr. to defend the full title against Brandon Rios on Nov. 7. Ali is Bradley’s mandatory challenger and the fight is due. However, Golden Boy said that after the Vargas side agreed to take the fight with Ali, Vargas elected to withdraw from the negotiations, because he did not want to fight in New York, Ali’s home state, where Golden Boy was planning to do the card. Top Rank, in turn, said Ali was not interested in fighting in Las Vegas, where Vargas lives, or in Southern California, where he was born.

If Vargas wants a rematch then he needs to beat a few good fighters first. There's no need for a rematch unless he can prove that he's worthy of one. Right now he isn't worthy.

It must suck knowing you weren't in the fight at all and your only chance of being in it was to get in a well timed shot and act as if you were robbed blindly. Bradley has moments where he shines bright like tons of boxers in the past and sets himself as the man in the sport to watch. Then he has moments where he completely goes full ****** and tries to maul guys as if he has immaculate One Punch Man kind of power. He doesn't. Yet with that, you easily lost every minute of the fight.
