UFC tried too hard to build Ronda Rousey, unlike Mayweather he's his own boss, can fight whoever, whenever and wherever he wants! Just as he says when you make 200 Million Dollars call him! He'll make her look even more foolish than what Holly Holmes did! Any Ronda fans out there? hahaha

Kick boxing won Holly this fight, not boxing alone look at Holly's record in UFC mostly all her fights are finished with the kick and people are pretending boxing alone won her this?
One she didn't use a proper textbook boxing stance
Two she finished the fight with the kick not the punch

Holly is a great little fighter but its a bit obvious she's had experience with this type of set-up before anyone thinking any boxer can walk into a MMA contest and do what she did is absolutely kidding themselves on.

Typically the pendulum swings back and fourth and the idiots bray on about how "boxing is superior and will dominate, or how wrestling is superior and will dominate..." The fact is anyone who knows what they are talking about, will see elements of all the arts adapted towards the combat environment on hand. For example: yes the high kick to Ronda's blind side was spectacular, but what about all the many thai kicks used to keep distance and attack the legs? like in the fight prior to Rhonda's?

These leg kicks are not spectacular looking but take it from one who has felt them...they are effective and make you want to not come in. Also, Holly did use modified boxing, using a lot more movement away from Rhonda precisely because the threat was getting taken down and not a counterpunch. She only stayed in front of Rhonda when she connected and wanted to combo punch.

I wanted Holly Holm to win, but not necessarily rooting for Ronda to get blasted. Ronda is cool, but Holm comes from the world of Boxing which is my favorite sport.

My problem is with those now talking as if Ronda was just a hype job. She's basically been cleaning out the best that the UFC has to offer in her weight class with the exception of moving up to fight Cyborg. She isn't just hype, she just got beaten by a very skilled, patient and determined technician of a fighter who happens to have a great Kickboxing and Boxing game. She also showed that she wouldn't be taken down and held down so easily.

So when Ronda (who has a pretty good striking game for a UFC fighter) couldn't punch with the Boxer in Holm or kick with the Kickboxer in Holm, all she has his her ground game. However Holm took that away from her the couple of times they did make it to the ground.

Yes well said. I was wondering why Rhonda was so passive on the ground and so easy to toll. This seemed atypical of her actually. She also looked a bit chunky. It was either Holme's practice, ot Rousey was not at her best....probably a bit of both.
