Kovalev's rematch with Pascal & Ward fighting SMW @ 175 does absolutely nothing to build this fight up. A credible opponent and spectacular win on the Cotto/Canelo under card would've helped build this fight up. So now we're stuck with unnecessary rematches & 64376338 tune-ups until they fight, if they fight at all. Don't forget there's a guy out there name Bieterbiev that becomes Kovalev's mandatory after his next fight.

Ward just doesn't understand.. We just want to see him in play, active, and not fighting no-hopers.

He's been resting on his laurels from the super six tournament forever. The rush to fight Kovalev is to get to work on cleaning out a 2nd weight class, that's the plight I want to see and what I would pay for. It would make him popular.

The only thing that his fans had left to cling to was "it doesn't matter if he fights two or three bums,as long as he fights kovalev" and ward flushes that down the drain with "what's the rush?
