Similar mentality to most black boxing fans

Who cares if it was 20 years ago? Ward doesn't have nearly as many question marks surrounding his career as GGG.

GGG has never proven himself against a top level fighter - not 5 years ago. Not ever.

Again, GGG didn't have to go to 168 for 1 fight. Ward suggested the fight for late 2016 - all he needed was encouragement from Team GGG that it would happen. Unfortunately they said No and are looking more at guys like Eubank Jr...

I can't continue to debate with someone who clearly has an emotional stance on the subject. I saw your previous post about Ward wanting the fight in Oakland for 200k.....which is ludicrous.

Ward easily beat two of your favourite fighters so I guess that's where the animosity stems from.
Then why are you pulling out his ranking if you are not defending it? Why aren't you going at Ward for fighting a total bum? He's the guy regarded as the best fighter in the world, more established than GGG right?

Why have you kept going on for ages about GGGs level of opposition when Ward wanted to fight a guy a lot worse than anyone GGG has faced since being on HBO? And you said HBO would never allow Ward to fight GGGs level of opposition, which is obviously not true as proved.

So I'm wondering exactly who's the one emotionally involved here..

But why would GGG give any encouragement about a fight with Ward when their goal is a fight with Cotto/Canelo? I don't get what it is you don't understand with that.

Kovalev and Ward - The fight between them is the biggest that can be made for each guy. GGG has bigger fish to fry than Ward.

What a pathetic thing to say I couldn't care less about those fights, but saying there's a conspiracy against Ward when you're asking GGG to do the exact same is totally ridiculous.

Because it makes more sense for Ward to move up. And then if Ward does win against Kovalev..

He grown into 175 now doe

You're scared Ward will get beaten by Kovalev so you can't see GGG lose and that's the real issue.

All these morons don't realise Ward is fraudin' everyone. His body is breaking down and he doesn't really want GGG or Kovalev. Hasn't fought a real fighter in years and is currently looking for pitiful opponents. Black Americans need someone to cling onto since Floyd retired doe, so they lap up everything he says and does.

Ward was fighting a total bum on an undercard in a showcase fight. He wasn't selling it as a main event "big drama show". I mean Team GGG promoted the Willie Munroe fight as "Pound-for-Pound". Just laughable.

Can you give me examples of when the commission has stepped in like this before? It just goes to show that Andre Ward seems to be operating under a different set of rules.

Their goal is to get that fight but they could have said that once they were done, they would fight Ward. The same way they say they are open to 168 for other fights.

GGG is the biggest fight out there for Ward. GGG could have fried those bigger fish and then moved up to fight Ward.

People are asking GGG to do something that Ward has already done - prove yourself.

Ward is moving up to 175 and not coming back down. So why would losing to Kovalev even matter? Why do you think I like Andre Ward? I don't like his style, it's not for my taste at all. Only thing I like is that he's proved himself which is exactly what I don't like about GGG.

I want to see Ward fight both GGG and Kovalev because those are 2 great fights for boxing. I honestly don't care who wins out of all those fights - why would I?

You want to see one of those fights because you don't want Ward to get any more adulation for beating GGG. You're still bitter over the Froch/Kessler fights.

Haha, Mr. IV has spoken. A guy who is stuck in early evolution of mankind, same as his fanbase.

HBO wanted Ward to face GGG, they actually invited them both, had a meeting. and guess who said no? Your beloved Andre Ward. GGG said i am ready!

Then Ward did nothing for over 2 years but sue a fatally ill Goossen, was half retired from the sport and when he actually came back he moved to Light Heavyweight on HIS OWN. Because he just couldnt make 168. And now these racist ******s say they forced him? How ridiculous can you be?

This thread just shows who is an ignorant racist pos and who has some common sense. Makes it really easy.

A little wakup call for the ignorant pack here.

Ward moved up to Light Heavyweight on his own choice.

Nobody forced him. He chose shot Supermiddle Paul Smith to fight at Light Heavy, even though he had 2 years to make 168, to show everyone he is still a 168 pounder.

Not just that, he also planned it for his next fight, dragging other totally unknown super middles, the likes of Rohan Murdock, who even got rejected by the NSAC and that columbian plumber 168 Brand guy to 175.

Yeah, it's funny seeing posters defend the boring guys but complain about the ones scoring knockouts. Wtf!?

I don't think Floyd's claim holds water. Al Haymon has some of the most talented guys under contract, many of them black. The HBO side of the fence can't work with any of them due to the promoter feuds, but they are pushing Canelo (a white mexican) and GGG the hardest.

But don't forget Bud Crawford- my personal favorite of the current HBO crop of fighters.

The feuding between promoters is the primary problem with boxing and you can find all kinds of other problems that stem from it.
