Martin Murray would give most guys a good fight and bare in mind that Murray fought a much, much better version of Sergio Martinez than Cotto did and he should have got the nod and won that fight the Sturm fight was close but Sturm still had it when he fought him.

It's an interesting choice. On one hand, DeGale is in his weight division, is a champ, and is also British. On another hand, DeGale isn't that liked in the UK and has traveled abroad for his biggest purses. His take in Bute is supposed to be ~$2m, a career high. Considering that was Golovkin's last purse, one can argue that GGG may be more popular than DeGale. One (not saying it's the greatest) way to compare the two is to look at for both names in the UK - they had similar popularity from 14 to 15, with Golovkin a slight favorite today. It's not a given that DeGale would be better for Froch financially.

I don't think so. He just launched a Poker career or something. He says he's not an attention-seeker but given the number of UK TV shows he has gone on, I don't believe that to be true. I may be wrong but I'd venture this comeback talk is just an extension of that.

Froch vs Golovkin would be the most interesting fight IMO.

Froch has 1 punch KO power and GGG does get hit. how will his chin stand up?
Froch is 38 and GGG just pounds his opponents into the ground. how will Froch last against that kind of pressure.

it has everything that makes a great fight. I think it might be a little high risk for GGG because if he loses, his haters will jump all over it and he might lose out in more lucrative fights maybe Canelo down the line. if Froch loses no real shame he's 38 and at the end of his career.

It may also look slightly bad for Froch if he chooses DeGale after all the 'too big too strong' mentions he had about Golovkin - it may look like a duck to some fans.

I have no problems with either match, would be very interested in either Froch/GGG or Froch/DeGale.

Sky would market Froch-DeGale to death. Documentaries, face off, no doubt create a bit of a beef between the pair. By the time fight night arrived every casual in the UK would be tuning in.

Golovkin doesn't speak English, and he doesn't trash talk, he just isn't as marketable.

Plus DeGale is already a Matchroom fighter, we all know that Eddie likes to keep his ££ in-house.

Froch had his opportunity and he *****ed out. Now he's just throwing GGG's name out there to try and stay relevant. He's not going to fight either guy because he'd get crushed by both imo.
